Description
Our hiking groups are small and limited to a maximum of 6 persons to ensure a personal experience with greater opportunity to interact with your tour guide. The India Venster hike is known for its challenging terrain and dramatic views throughout. “Venster” (window in Afrikaans) refers to a spectacular viewpoint framed by two large rock buttresses. Hiking Table Mountain, one of Africa’s most iconic mountains and one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World, is a truly unique experience. It features a distinctive floral kingdom found only in the South Western Cape, known as fynbos—the smallest and richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms, with diverse species of proteas, ericas and restios. Also unique to Table Mountain is the elusive ghost frog, a rare species endemic to the mountain. More unusual still are the Himalayan Tahr, wild mountain goats originating from Northern India, Southern Tibet, China and Nepal.

- Have a warm top because it can get a little chilly at the peak and on the way down after the sunset sun has set.

Amazing and pretty challenging climb. Asam views of Cape town, great experience with a very good guide. It is definetly worth doing this climb with a guide since it has several technical parts Patric was asam, very profesional, helpful and made the climb very safe. He was also fun to talk to. We had bad weather which made the climb even more speciaI would:) I highly recommend doing this climb with Patric to anyone.

Highly recommend! Patrick is a fantastic guide whose passion for the outdoors shines through - he is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and enthusiastic. India Venster is a challenging but rewarding route, and Patrick kept our group entertained throughout with plenty of information about the wildlife, vegetation and history of Table Mountain. Patrick went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time - so much so that I went ahead and booked another hike with Patrick a few days later (a sunrise hike up Lions Head - which was equally great, despite the early start!)
