Ivica and Dominica were the perfect hosts for our tour this evening. Despite an unexpected thunderstorm, their warmth and enthusiasm made us feel so welcome. Ivica’s passion for his family farm and heritage shone through, and we enjoyed tasting both olive oil and wines, accompanied by delicious Croatian specialties. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Fantastic evening with a couple who live and breathe generosity and friendliness, as well as passion for their chosen lifestyle. Ivicia and Dominica were charming, welcoming and fun. The olive oil accompanied by home-cooking and topped with their three unpretentious but delicious wines made this evening a "never to forget experience". A small group of people chauffeur driven to their vineyard and olive grove enjoyed a fun time with plenty of laughter and authentic enthusiasm. The uninvited thunderstorm added to the spontaneity of the evening and the concluding sunset accompanied by the residual grumbles of thunder was the icing on the cake. If you get a chance to go, don't miss it! Thank you Ivicia and Dominica we won't forget you in a hurry !
We absolutely loved this experience it was perfect in every way. We were a bit concerned from previous holidays that it was going to be too group focused however they way it’s done means everyone knows that each but the wine tasting itself is sat down with whoever you arrive with. If you’re even considering booking do it! It’s family run and absolutely delicious.
This was my second time visiting the Vardia Vineyard. Ivica and Dominika are both lovely hosts who take great pride in what they do. The views from the vineyard are great and all of the homemade food and drinks you sample are wonderful. I highly recommend here as a place to visit when staying on the Dalmatian coast. I look forward to returning again.
Family owned Vineyard with sunset wine tasting. Ivika and Dominika (husband and wife) were so personable and friendly making the evening a nice experience. (pick up and drop off included, Three tastings and a lemon liqueur each paired with a tasty homemade snack. No preservatives and organic. Olive oil homemade also which was so delicious! If you are in Dubrovnik look for them!
This was great! We were visiting Dubrovnik as a family for a week and had a really memorable evening at Vardia. The host, Ivica, goes out of his way to make you comfortable and ensures you are having a good time. This is a family vineyard, and Ivica has put years of work into building it. No one in our family is a wine expert, we just went to do something different and have a nice evening, and this absolutely delivered.
We had the most amazing morning tour. It is not just a wine tasting, it was a walk, tasting fruit from the trees, sampling bread, olive oil, pie and jam as well as wine. From the lovely taxi driver who picked us up Simoni to Ivica who ran the tour and works the ‘farm’ and is clearly passionate about what he does we had a wonderful time. We thoroughly recommend this tour
We were picked up and driven the short distance to the Vardia vineyard. We were staying in Mlini so this was only a 10 minute drive away. Ivanica and his lovely wife Dominika were awaiting our arrival and we met the other guests and were given a brief history of the vineyard. We walked through the vineyard and made our way to 6 beautiful tables in the hillside in the sun. The views were simply stunning and our experience began. Ivanica and Dominika are the ultimate duo! Friendly, warm and entertaining. Great stories and warm chat about everything. They were genuinely interested in all their guests. The perfect hosts. We started with home made bread and lemon liquor before moving on to the wine. A white, a rose and an orange. All with individual stories and flavours and all as equally delicious, coupled with Dominikas home baking . Our party consisted of two Germans, two Canadians, two Americans two Poles and 4 Brits. Quite the eclectic mix! Loved our gorgeous fellow Brits! Such a lovely entertaining couple. The wine flowed as did the conversation. We sat and drank and nibbled as the sun went down over the Croatian hills. You are given the opportunity to purchase the wine and olive oil. The white was our favourite and we bought a bottle which we collected from Ivanica’s cellar. We even met his parents! We were then driven back by Simoni to our pick up point. Do not hesitate to book this trip. Truly delightful. We loved it 🥰
A fantastic evening the wine and the nibbles were all home made and lovely There was only four of us which made it even more enjoyable I would definitely recommend this tour and would love to return sometime the host was knowledgeable and very interesting
The whole experience was fabulous, exceeding all expectations. We booked well in advance. We were picked up as arranged & taken to the vineyard. Our hosts were such lovely people. We learned a lot about the wine making process and sampled all their produce. We met some lovely fellow tourists from the US & Poland. Bought some Olive oil, the most wonderful lemon liqueur and a bottle of wine (that didn’t make it home to the UK 🥂).
