Had a wonderful tour with Ashley! She was very knowledgeable about the wildlife we saw and the park in general. We got to see a moose, some elk, a golden eagle, pronghorn, and bison. We were provided with binoculars which was great! The pickup/drop-off was very smooth too. Would absolutely recommend!
Awesome tour!! Ben our tour guide was fantastic!
Alexis was the best!!! Not only was she knowledgeable about the animals and area, but she was so fun and kind and our group had a great time. We saw lots of animals and a beautiful sunrise and it was better than expected.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our Jackson HoleEco Tour was, without a doubt, one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Jackson Hole! We were incredibly fortunate to have Nick as our guide, and he was phenomenal from start to finish. His background in biology made the experience so much more than just a wildlife tour—he shared fascinating facts about the animals, their behaviors, the ecosystem, and the history of the area. His passion and knowledge were contagious, and he made every moment engaging and memorable. The wildlife sightings were beyond anything we could have imagined! We had the unforgettable privilege of seeing Grizzly Bear 610 and her cubs, along with bison, moose, pronghorn, and so much more. Nick always seemed to know exactly where to look, and he made sure everyone had a chance to enjoy each sighting while being respectful of the animals and their habitat. From beginning to end, the tour was well organized, educational, and absolutely breathtaking. If you're visiting Jackson and want an authentic wildlife experience, Eco Adventure Tours is a must. And if you have the opportunity to tour with Nick, consider yourself lucky—you'll leave with incredible memories, a greater appreciation for the wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and stories you'll be telling for years to come. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!
My family had a fantastic experience with Ashley R. She led our multigeneration group with effortless skill. As a former Environmental Studies professor, she brought thoughtful, meaningful context to the tour and answered our many questions, from the size of the bison herd to the presence of lone cottonwoods in the meadows. We saw abundant wildlife and left with a richer understanding of the area’s history and the effort to preserve it, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Teton Range.
We went out and we did see a few birds and animals. But it was not the ones I was hoping for. No moose or bears or bald eagles. Everything we saw, I could see right here in NM. The guides was great and very knowledgeable about the area and my disappointment has nothing to do with him at all. Maybe just not the right time of the year or the areas we're too busy.
We're sorry to hear that the wildlife did not cooperate on your tour. This is definitely a trickier time of year due to the heat (and the fact that that our summers are only getting hotter). The biggest risk with what we do is that the wildlife is truly wild and may not always cooperate. We appreciate your understanding about that, and we're glad that you still enjoyed your tour with Lucas, who is a phenomenal guide. We hope to see you again down the road; thank you for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey
What an excellent way to kick off a trip to Grand Teton! Lucas did an amazing job driving us around and knew lots of great spots to look for wildlife in the park. He also had great information to share about the history of the park, land use in the area, and of course about the wildlife itself. He shared his phone/scope pics with us at the end too which was greatly appreciated. (Scoped photos below were taken by Lucas not me) The tour came with high quality binoculars and scope use, along with local snacks and morning caffeine. Parking is free in the parking garage during your tour. The van included a top that lifted up giving us a better view of the wildlife. This tour is pricey but if you are serious about spotting wildlife it's a great way to get oriented to the park and the best locations on your first day. We saw moose, bison, elk, black bear, deer, and many birds.
We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with Lucas! He is a wonderful guide. We're happy to hear that you learned a lot, got some great photos and videos to share with loved ones, and felt well cared for! These are all goals of ours while on tour. Thank you for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey
Kirk was EXCELLENT. He made our 4 hour tour very memorable. I would highly recommend the 4 hour sunrise tour. Kirk was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to try to find us a Moose to see! Such a fun morning, thank you Eco Tour Adventures.
Kirk IS excellent, we couldn't agree more! We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with him and got to see some critters! Thank you for touring with us. Cheers, Kelsey
SAGE HOWK is amazing ! He answered all my questions , he has such a vast knowledge of the entire eco system in that area . It’s like he knew the animals personally . 10 out of 10 and he made the best cup of coffee
Sage IS amazing, we agree! We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with them and felt well cared for. Thank you so much for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey
We woke up very early to drive from Colters Bay, where we were staying, to get to Jackson for our 6am tour (we got there by 5:30am and got to see the sun rise on our drive). Our guide Brandon met us by the parking garage in Jackson (we didn’t have to pay for parking!) and took my family of 4 on the tour in his 4 wheel drive SUV with 2 roof hatches we could stand up out of and safely watch animals. The suv also had a high powered binocular for each of us, and Brandon had plenty of locally sourced snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate for our adventure. Brandon grew up local to Grand Teton and shared his wealth of knowledge about the area and the animals he hoped we could find. There were 2 roads we could not go down to find bears and moose, and they were closed for road repairs. The guide had a very powerful telescope he could attach his phone to for getting video and photos of the animals which he shared using air drop. We managed to see a wide variety of animals! * Bat * Ducks * Moose * Mule deer * Coyotes * Chizzars (ground squirrels, NOT chipmunks) * Swallows * Raven * Elk (male herd) * Canadian Geese * Red squirrel * Catfish? * Muskrat * Sandhill crane * Flock of birds(like starlings) gray with lighter heads * Trumpeter swans (mated pair) * Ducks * Bluebird * Red tail hawk And evidence of Beaver with several beaver dams sighted We had an amazing time and highly recommend using this company!
Thank you so much for the rave review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your tour with Brandon; he is a wonderful guide! We're also glad that the early morning drive was worth it! Getting to see a Tetons sunrise is pretty magical. What a great list of wildlife sightings! We will say that catfish don't live here but plenty of species of trout do! Thank you for touring with us. Cheers, Kelsey
