We really enjoyed the food and culture tour with Laura as our guide. It was so nice to enjoy a meal together and then local sweet treats after. Laura is knowledgeable and fun to talk with about Bucharest, Romania, and all sorts of topics. This tour was a perfect length and a nice way for us to get to know the neighborhood right around our hotel.
Great food selection and knowledge shared
Laura treated us to a foodie tour of typical Romanian dishes. She shared what the provenance of the ingredients and how they pertain to Romanian culture. The walk was easy and well paced
We did this tour 8 years ago and remember it being excellent, we were delighted to find Laura was still running these and it was just as interesting and enjoyable as the we'd remembered. As you'd expect the food and structure of the tour was different from our previous visit, this time the main food courses come first and you follow that with visits to a locals market and a bon bon store, whilst walking through snickleways and lanes you wouldn't know to follow, with Laura's excellent observations and knowledge thrown in.
Laura was awesome! She was knowledgeable fun, and took good care of us!
We had a brilliant day with Mihaela as our guide. She was warm, friendly and knowledgeable about Bucharest and the local food. We really enjoyed our day. One bit of advise for anyone taking this trip - don’t eat a big breakfast before you go, the food is plentiful!
We loved the food tour. Tour guide Laura was a gold mine of information. The presentations of the various foods by various outlets were great even though Romanian food as such ends up not really being our top quisine. But that is why you go on these tours to find out what you like or not. Tastes differ.
Laura and Mihaela were our guides and they were absolutely phenomenal! It was the perfect mix of food, drink, and cultural knowledge. They were also super fun!!
Laura has scouted delicious food in beautiful locations with friendly staff. She was knowledgeable about the history of the country and its food and shared many interesting stories and personal details that made the afternoon our most enjoyable in the city! We loved the whole experience. Monica was a guide in training that accompanied our group. She was warm and also very helpful in explaining Romanian culture and food.
Laura is fantastic to communicate with, super responsive and it was so easy to book our tour with her. The tour itself was excellent, we had a fabulous day exploring Bucharest and eating a lot of food!!
Dear Vicki, I am really happy you enjoyed the traditional Romanian food and the atmosphere in Bucharest! We hope you will be back for more - warm regards, Laura & Bucharest Step by Step team
