Itinerary
The adventure begins. Saying a temporary goodbye to beautiful Bath and heading over to your first destination of the day
The standing stones of Stonehenge are one of the grandest sites known today. Those who visit take a break from the modern world for a few moments and become transported back to a long-forgotten world, a world where spirituality, paganism, and worship defined people.
But these aren't the only stones you should marvel at. In the sweet village of Avebury, visitors come to wander amidst the largest prehistoric stone circle in the world. Mixed in among manor houses and nature, this site truly is worth a visit.
After lunch, we travel deep into rural Wiltshire to Lacock village, famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings, and role as a television and film location. The Abbey in the heart of the village has its own woodland grounds, and a quirky country house with fascinating architectural styles.
The last stop of the day is Castle Combe, often called one of the prettiest villages in England. Fans of movies like War Horse and Neil Gaiman’s Stardust may just recognize this spot, so get your camera ready.

Barney was a delightful tour guide offering humor and music to accompany his knowledgable commentary. I highly recommend downloading the audio commentary to accompany Stonehenge visit.
The Cotswolds are easily the prettiest part of earth! Loved the tour. Matt the Guide cum driver was at his humorous best.
The tour guide was kind and helpful. Stonehenge was a big highlight for me. The Cotswolds were beautiful, but too much time on the tour was dedicates to this.
Toured with Iggy who was great. Each stop was long enough that I didn't have to rush and the smaller bus meant we were able to get onto smaller roads in the Cotswolds.
10/10 would recommend. Despite the rainy weather, Euan made it very memorable. If you are not renting a car, this is the perfect day tour experience. You get to explore the Cotswolds area on your own with ample time while you get great tidbits of the area during the drive. Euan was very professional, the drive was comfortable, I was able to take a quick nap while he wasn't talking. I do appreciate him trying to get to know everyone on the tour and break the ice in the beginning. My sister, brother-in-law, and I were able to chat with our fellow Canadians because of this. Euan's banter was also very entertaining. Despite his preference in whether to spread jam or clotted cream first, if you get Euan as a guide, you'll be sure to have a great time. PS. We compared both in Lacock, and it's 2 to 1 for jam first vs clotted cream debacle. This will forever tear our family apart (just kidding). Thanks for a great time, Euan!
Had a wonderful tour of Stonehenge and the Cotswalds with THE BEST tour guide Alan! While the scenery and locations were amazing themselves, Alan made it memorable. His, fun, witty humor, attentive nature, unique personality and immense knowledge are a treasure. If I'm ever back here, I won't tour with anyone else.
Wonderful day trip with a fantastic tour guide
We went on two tours with Rabbies Trail Burners. The first tour was the Stonehenge Cotswald tour, the second tour was the Oxford Cotswald tour. It just happened that our driver was Alan on both tours. We LOVE Allen! His knowledge, history, stories, music and love for his country were off the chart. We loved his British humor, and quick wit, but most of all we loved Alan! He constantly is looking after each person making sure they are having a wonderful experience. It doesn’t matter where he would take us on a tour because we know we would have fun and learn facts about the English culture and history.
Esther was a super guide and van driver. She gave us great stories as we travelled. At each location, she gave us super advice to help us plan our stay.
We were so fortunate to have Alan as a driver today. He was an incredible storyteller and genuinely nice man to have as a guide. I would absolutely book another tour because of our wonderful experience today.
