Itinerary
Stonehenge Over 5,000 years of history is waiting to be discovered by us at the prehistoric site at Stonehenge. Built on the windswept Salisbury Plain by our Neolithic ancestors, Stonehenge is a site that has courted controversy and stirred opinion for hundreds of years. Explore over 250 ancient objects on display at the world-class visitor centre. Discover the tools and everyday objects of Neolithic life, and come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and ancient human remains. Decipher the mystery of Stonehenge using an interactive audio guide exclusive to Evan Evans. Learn who built it and why, as well as how it was constructed using rudimentary equipment made of wood and stone.
Windsor Castle (optional entry) is the ancestral home of the British monarchy and the largest occupied castle in the world. As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years. You'll see why this beautiful castle was a favoured weekend residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt adorn the walls. Guests choosing the option to enter the Castle can also see St George's Chapel, the scene of some of the most famous royal weddings of recent times including The Duke & Duchess of Sussex and HRH Princess Eugenie & Mr Jack Brooksbank. Within the Chapel are the tombs of 11 monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Henry VIII and Charles I.

Mel & Jody did well, though wasn't impressed with Stonehenge folk.
Mel and Jodi were amazing, both very helpful and informative. There was a small hiccup with traffic on our way to Windsor but we didn’t drift far off from our expected times. For pickup: You have to wait in a long line at gate 1- there they point you to your bus. During the excursion Mel gave us a lot of information about London, the monarchy, and the locations we were going to. We only did Stonehenge and Windsor. There was a long line to get on a bus at Stonehenge so we didn’t have much time for lunch, but we got a snack at the cafe. Windsor was overwhelming, but mel advised us to do certain parts in a certain order which was helpful. We pretty much had free rein once we got to the locations, just had to ensure we were at the coach at the departing time.
Mel and Jody were amazing! Can’t recommend enough!!
The experience was really good thanks to Mel! He is one of a kind, he explains everything really good and is patient with the whole group, and las, he is really really funny (very important for us!) We left punctual and everything was on time. I did wanted more time in Stonehenge but that was just me… the tour did tell us the amount of time (2 hours) but I really enjoyed there and wanted more time. I totally recommend the company and the tour with Mel!
Loved our guide Mel! I learned very much!
We had Mel as guide Jodi was our driver, both were great! Mel was hilarious and full of useful anecdotes. Felt like we got a proper local to tell us what’s what. Highly recommended!
Mel and Jodie were great very funny. Didn’t get bored in the coach
After missing our bus we were placed on another tour and we got the ultimate upgrade with our tour guide Cameron and driver Ali for the Stonehenge and Windsor Castle tour. Cameron did an excellent job being informative and fun during the trip. Had tons of fun facts and history presented in the most entertaining way possible. Stonehenge was amazing, seeing it in person just brings a different perspective to it. Windsor Castle was awe inspiring, could spend a day just in the castle. Would recommend the tour, but if you get Cameron and Ali you won an upgrade.
Cameron was so informative and hilarious! Loved the interesting commentary on history and fun facts. Ali was a wonderful driver.
The experience itself was 5/5! Our guide Mel was knowledgeable, friendly, and great at guiding the pacing. He was happy to help with additional London tips and recommendations as well. The bus was clean and air conditioned, and we liked the amount of time we had for each stop. The part that we struggled with was in the morning, we didn’t know exactly where to go to find the bus terminal. The company did not send any emails with instructions on how to find it or which one to go to. Just an address. We called them and no one answered. So getting there was stressful, but after that, the tour was great.
