Good, brief overview of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the 9/11 memorial Tour guide was a bit of a talker, repeated things too much and then would get upset with attendees if they couldn’t remember what she said in regard to directions.
Nina was a great tour guide full of information but be prepared to walk a lot if doing the 9/11 memorial too and the visit to Ellis island is very short
I thought this was a fully guided tour and it wasn’t. We were on our own at each main stop. When she did talk about the place we were going or something we passed along the way, you couldn’t hear her because she talked so softly and she talked with her back to several of us most of the time.
Wonderful experience, very happy we booked this. We also added the 9/11 museum. A lot of walking.
Nina did a great job with her information on the tour. The tour is rushed, but there is a lot to get through.
Viator took care of change of date although it ended up slightly expensive than they say about change fee . Ticket collection was easy and the guide was excellent. Some tips for improvement: 1. A notice to stay that it is mostly a walking and boat tour. Another group and I had seniors with me. The guide was encouraging us to drop the walking part after we got out of the boat. Both groups did not complete the tour with guide. 2. List what is actually covered. Viator lists about 7 destinations and time. Guide has her own list which is minimum. It is basically a boat tour to Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. 3. It was strange to see the grouping. All of us Asian origin was grouped together. The white race seems to grouped out. It was a paradox as the tour was more about immigration and how poor was discriminated.
Very easy process to visit Liberty & Ellis Islands plus 911 museum. Our guide Vivian was wonderful, effective and educational, plus very entertaining. Our day went longer than the web site indicated, in part because of managing the group to ferry times and ensuring we had time at both islands. BUT Vivian ensured our timed 911 museum tickets still were honored and skipped the line, despite being late.
We couldn't find the meeting place now the number we were given sends us straight to voice mail. We are furious
Our tour guide wasn’t good. She wasn’t loud and couldn’t handle 32 people. She really didn’t give us any information. We seen other tours going on and could tell they were getting great information, their guide was loud and keeping everyone together. Pretty upsetting as we were hoping to learn from a local as she called herself. She wasn’t friendly either. Waste of money & time not efficiently.
Yesterday we went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the 9/11 Memorial. Wow! Each one was so informative and I'm so glad we got to spend time at each place. Would highly recommend.
