Starting in the late afternoon, as the light softens over the Grand Socco, we’ll journey through Tangier’s bustling Main Market and old medina where locals shop, eat, and unwind at day’s end. This is Tangier in transition, when the city glows gold before dusk and the aromas of dinner begin to fill the air. Over the next four hours, we’ll taste our way through the city’s culinary heart. Sample mountain jben cheese with honey and almond amlou, savour creamy chickpea calientes, and visit decades-old eateries known only to locals for their fragrant tagines. Go underground to a communal oven to learn about Tangier’s fiery food traditions, watch delicate wacqa pastries being handmade, and end the evening with nutty Arabic sweets and house-roasted spiced coffee, among many more surprises. With 15+ tastings across markets, backstreets, and hidden kitchens, this twilight feast captures Tangier's food scene as locals know it.

We'll stop for 15+ tastings from market stalls to backstreet eateries tasting the real Tangier that locals know. This coastal city has long inspired the legends. Artists, writers, dreamers, and thinkers have all wandered these coastal medina. Beyond the name-dropping, Yves Saint Laurent, Matisse, Paul McCartney, and the Rolling Stones, there’s a whole culinary world waiting to be explored. Join our four-hour evening feast, winding through the markets, the Grand Socco, and Tangier’s whitewashed alleys. Moroccan food is so much more than tagines.
Our culinary exploration ends back at the meeting point on the Grand Socco. Conclude the tour with new memories and the knowledge and confidence to continue eating your way around Morocco.

A wonderful experience being shown all the tastes of the Medina. Thami was an enthusiastic guide who was extremely accommodating to everything we wanted to try in the souks. We even had some sweets to take back with us for the evening! Thoroughly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful tour of the Tangier medina on 1-Jun. It felt like an authentic, multi-sensory medina experience. We tasted many foods. Thami was very knowledgeable about local foods, history and culture. He is a very pleasant man and he was kind and very patient when one of our party had mobility issues.

Thami was a great guide - not only did he take us to some great places, but he spent ample time telling us about the history and culture of Tangiers, taking us to see some great views and cultural sites, and was great with out kid. It's very clear that he know everyone in the Medina and has great relations with all of the people there.
