Luis is a Master Guide

Luis was a masterful, knowledgeable, and polite guide who opened our eyes to Diego Rivera’s extensive influence on CDMX. Anyone interested in understanding the artistic and political influence of Rivera and Frida Kahlo on Mexico City and the world must book this tour with Luis.

Great experience

Great guide. Easy pickup. And he fit in an extra stop at Trotsky museum just for us! Really good day overall, but definitely long - might have been good to start a bit early and schedule a meal break

Comprehensive Frida/Diego Tour and Commentary

If you really want to learn about Frida and Diego, this is the way to go. If you only go to the blue house/Frida Kahlo Museum and the Frida-Diego house and studio, then you are only getting part of the story. There are remarkable pieces of artwork spread out around the city that are logistically difficult to get to and that I suspect very few tourists see but that are important for understanding the breath of these artists careers. I highly recommend this tour.

Loved It!

Wow! Felipe and Gaby went out of their way to know, and impart to their guests, everything Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo. There wasn’t a question they couldn’t answer. Although not scheduled as part of the tour, when some folks started to ask about food, they found 45 minutes to get us to a market and give us a lunch break! That was very much appreciated. On the way back to our hotel at the end of the tour, Felipe went out of his way to point out a market where we could find hand made souvenirs. We had already walked by this market several times (it was only a few blocks from our hotel) but had not noticed it. That extra touch was really thoughtful. Thank you Felipe!

Well worth booking!

Luis was a very knowledgeable tour guide, and kept us engaged for the whole day. His communication was excellent from the moment of booking the tour, and he collected us from our Air BnB (and the other 7 people in the tour from their hotels) and we drove around Mexico City, visiting many of Diego’s pieces and ending at Frida Kahlo’s house. It is quite a long day (around 9am - 3:30pm) and there is not really an opportunity to buy drinks or food so I highly recommend taking lots with you- you can safely leave your belongings on the van at all times so don’t need to worry about carrying. There isn’t a lot of walking which worked well for me as I’m 7 months pregnant, and there are toilets at every stop. Luis was a fantastic source of knowledge about lots of elements of Mexico, and we used the time in the van to ask questions about Mexico’s history. I really recommend this tour, it’s good value and you learn a lot!!
