Itinerary
Firstly, we head to Stonehenge amidst the ancient and historical landscape of Wessex. Here, your guide will enrich you with facts and theories behind this famous Stone Age structure erected in about 3,000 BC. After taking time to explore this impressive and mysterious site, enjoy a relaxing drive onwards to the Georgian city of Bath.
Once called Aquae Sulis because of its natural hot springs, the city of Bath dates back more than 2,000 years. Take a guided tour of this elegant city with its squares, crescents and terraces, and learn about the famous Roman Baths. In the 18th-century Georgian Era, the rich and wealthy arrived from London to 'see and be seen' here, and to take advantage of the baths’ hot waters to alleviate their stiff joints.

Enjoy a guided tour of this lovely village and its unspoiled appearance with your small group before making a short journey along the back roads of the Cotswolds hillsto the pretty thatched village of Avebury, sat inside of an ancient Stone Circle.
After our tour of Lacock, we'll continue on to Avebury, a pretty village of thatched cottages nestling in the middle of a huge stone circle. Enjoy a guided walk and some free time at the largest stone circle in Britain, before we return to London.

Jenny was absolutely amazing!! So welcoming and so fun to talk to!! You could tell she really knows what she’s talking about and hasn’t just memorized facts. Wonderful experience! The tour itself was absolutely beautiful!!
Toby was great! Knowledgeable and thoughtful, very considerate of his passengers and took us to some great spots
I could not be happier with my tour. We started our day early outside the British Museum and met Dr. Edward Shepherd, our guide, and our driver, Keith. Keith was a masterful driver, getting us to Stonehenge before the hoards of tourists. Edward (technically Dr. Shepherd, but a down-to-earth guy as nice as he is smart!) gave us amazing guiding throughout. I learned more during our tour than I could have in an entire history class. We saw the breathtaking Stonehenge (yes, it brought tears to my eyes!) and then visited Bath to see the Roman Baths and have lunch. Afterwards, we drove through villages with thatched roofs and walked through Lacock, a charming historical village (also the site of some Harry Potter filming). Finally, the pièce de résistance...Avebury Henge. This was why I booked this particular tour - and Avebury does not disappoint. It is an amazing landscape to soak in. I hope to return some day and walk the paths between the Avon and Avebury. I highly recommend this tour, and if you get lucky, Edward will guide you and Keith will skillfully drive you. Thank you to both for an experience I will not forget!!
If you have the chance get Edward as your tour guide!!! He was awesome for someone like myself, that was interested in the history of England you can’t get any better by getting an Archeologist to explain a couple of Englands most interesting sites. And he even threw in some Harry Potter sites for my wife :-). Our tour ended up being only 5 people out of a max of 16, so it was very intimate and end up being my favorite of what we did in England. Our driver was also very pleasant and friendly I will butcher the spelling but his name started with a V just a great team! If I have to do a negative it would be that we hit some traffic but I mean what can you expect in a big city and they did do their best to avoid it by always checking and moving us around, but I mean if I am complaining about traffic it tells you that I was really looking for something to complain about. Otherwise our tour was aces! Tour starts early and ends pretty late so takes up your whole day but in my opinion what we learned about the culture made it worth it.
It was a very intimate group, which was lovely. We had great conversations and our tour guide Ben was delightful. We spent the perfect amount of time everywhere.
I really enjoyed the tour given by Jeannie. She was great at telling us the site information in a easily followed story. Also, her information was up-to-date. The latest piece of info about Stonehenge was released in New Scientist and she had that in her story too!
Great accommodations and even better tour guide! Being first at Stonehenge is totally worth the early morning start! Lacock and Bath were perfect villages to visit…would have loved even more time there to shop.
Very nice! Our tour guide, Jessica, was great. Bus driver very pleasant also. Just don't plan a long leisurely lunch. Our weather was rainy, but it was still a good day.
This tour was with a group of 6. The small group made the trip most enjoyable. Easy access and personal conversations with the tour guide. So many interesting facts and tidbits! Fantastic. Don't miss this one
What an excellent experience! The day started early but made sense for everything that we did. Got on to an excellent private coach bus (even with USB outlets at every seat!) that was comfortable and had a great driver. The guide was so personable and knowledgeable right from the start. She gave us space to just gaze out the window or nap while also providing loads of history and interesting things as we drove to the locations. All and all it was such a great experience. For those concerned there was never a moment where I wanted to use the bathroom and couldn’t, where I wanted water and couldn’t get it, etc.
