Small Group One Day Tour Death Valley National Park and Rhyolite Ghost Town

Description
A fascinating tour for anyone interested in history, architecture, or famous and unusual geographical features. Also, the perfect choice for great masterpiece photography taking! Death Valley National Park is the continental United States’ largest park, and also the hottest, driest and lowest. Despite these harsh conditions, the park’s more than 3-million acres are not simply desert plains. They are also home to mountains, canyons, sand dunes, extinct volcanic craters and even palm trees and wildflowers. Harmony Borax Works was the central feature in the opening of Death Valley and the subsequent popularity of the Furnace Creek area. The plant and associated townsite played an important role in Death Valley history. Rhyolite Ghost Town was inhabited for just 12 years, but it flourished enormously during this short period.

Rhyolite Ghost Town was inhabited for just 12 years, from 1904 to 1916. However, it flourished enormously during this short period. Wander the eerie, long-deserted streets of this prominent gold rush-era boomtown and marvel at the infrastructure that sprang up in such a short space of time.
Exploring the Death valley unusual geographical features, as sand dunes, salt flats, colorful rocks, and tall mountains. Death Valley National Park is the continental United States’ largest park. It’s also the hottest, driest and lowest. Despite harsh conditions, the park’s more than 3 million acres (1.3 million hectares) aren’t simply desert plains. find mountains, canyons, sand dunes, extinct volcanic craters and even palm trees and wildflowers.
Many first time visitors to Death Valley are surprised it is not covered with a sea of sand. Less than one percent of the desert is covered with dunes, yet the shadowed ripples and stark, graceful curves define "desert" in our imaginations. For dunes to exist there must be a source of sand, prevailing winds to move the sand, and a place for the sand to collect. The eroded canyons and washes provide plenty of sand, the wind seems to always blow (especially in the springtime), but there are only a few areas in the park where the sand is "trapped" by geographic features such as mountains.
Tucked behind an unassuming yellow landscape, the rainbow of Artists Palette is the highlight along the Artists Drive Scenic Loop. Here, visitors marvel at an array of colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, pink, and green), splashed across the hills. These colors are from volcanic deposits rich in compounds such as iron oxides and chlorite, which creates a rainbow effect.
The spectacular views from Zabriskie Point are some of the most photographed in Death Valley National Park. Named in honor of Christian Zabriskie.a prominent figure in the heyday of the Pacific Coast Borax Company, Zabriskie Point affords an elevated vista from which to marvel at the badlands below. These yellow and brown striped hills have been shaped by the powerful force of water, and even during dry times, the path carved by this water is unmistakable. Gazing beyond the badlands, views of the salt flats covering the floor of Death Valley are visible in the distance, with the hulk of the Panamint Mountains towering above.
Badwater Basin is the lowest point in North America at 282 ft (86 m) below sea level. The salt flats here cover nearly 200 square miles (518 square km), and are composed mostly of sodium chloride (table salt), along with calcite, gypsum, and borax. f

Driver was very professional. Tried his best to make tour memorable. Every hour he offered ice cold water. Stopped for rest room as requested. Great experience!!
Kim was a cool driver and guide, we were very efficient with time management, too. I would definitely go again, but I’m back in Europe
Badwater Basin was amazing (salt!)
Wonderful. and Majestic, Small group tour is way to go. The service is more personalized. It was great experience, more than I expected. I highly recommend it.
This trip was awesome! Our guide, Bin, was the best prepared person ever! He was very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. He helped everyone to find the right spot for the best picture, kept us on time and delivered at every stop. He is a magician with the phone cameras and took the best, fun and beautiful pictures. Everyone had his help readily available regardless if you had someone with you or came solo to the trip!! Highly recommend! Would do it again in a heartbeat
Thank you so much for review,ElenaHope see you again in the future!
Incredible! I loved this day trip from stsrt to finish. The sights we seen and the sites we visited were all amazing. Comms from Ben our driver and tour guide were great leading up to the trip. Pick up on time - Ben was a great host despite having two roles all day! Driving and being a top guide for such a long day are no mean feat but Ben handled it like a pro. If you're lucky you'll get Ben for your trip too. Death valley is like nothing I've seen before and I much preferred it to GC. If you are on the fence about this trip (subject to weather of course) dont be!
Thank you so much for review,AndrewHope see you again in the future!
It was lots of diving but the sights were worth it. It rained so the rick colors were not as bright but still amazing. Could have skipped the ghost town visit.
Thank you so much for review,Barbra,Hope see you again in the future!
All very nice (beautiful place, almost more than the grand Canyon) and well organized. The only thing the boy's driving of the van was nothing short of reckless, and it scared me on several occasions.
Thank you so much for review,Hope see you again in the future!
It was one of the best vacation days of my life. Death Valley is so underrated. I could hardly believe my eyes and still can't believe what breathtaking scenery I've seen
Thank you so much for review,Stephanie,Hope see you again in the future!
Our guide, Bin, was amazing and very accommodating. Besides water, he brought us fruit and snacks. He was full of information and took very good care of us. We were disappointed in the fact that we couldn't go on two sites because of the recent rains. We think the tour company should have known that these roads were closed. We were not able to see the two spots that we really wanted to see the most; however, Bin found some other interesting spots for us to see instead. Small group is the way to go. FYI: make sure before you go that you will be able to see everything!!
Thank you so much for review,Kennet,Hope see you again in the future!
