Itinerary
We start outside the magnificent Duomo, Milan’s most iconic cathedral. Your guide will introduce the history of this Gothic masterpiece and explain why the golden Madonnina is so dear to locals. A quick sweet or savory bite nearby sets the tone for our food journey.
Led by a passionate local guide, you’ll visit four carefully selected food spots to enjoy some of Italy’s most beloved bites. Along the way, you’ll taste a freshly made panzerotto, one of Milan’s favorite street snacks
Next, we walk to the mighty Sforza Castle, once home to dukes and artists like Leonardo da Vinci. While we explore its courtyard and hear its fascinating story, we’ll enjoy a flavorful street-style pizza.
Our final stop is the enchanting Brera District, full of narrow streets, cozy cafés, and creative energy. Your guide will share stories about the area’s artistic heritage and the nearby Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan’s top art gallery (external visit). Here, we’ll finish with a couple more tastings—like fresh ham followed by a creamy gelato or an espresso.

I showed up at the wrong meetup point and missed the experience. The tour operator was nice enough to give me a small refund for no show. I also appreciate their prompt communication
Our “guide” seem to have little interest in making any real effort and showed up 15 min late, so he rushed us through. I will say the the food we had was great.
I feel like you’re running a tour and you asked me to be there 20 minutes early than I should be there 20 minutes early and he was not. He was late. Got there at like 535 so we’re looking around the king that we were not the right place, which made us very uncomfortable. The first two staff were lame. I understand everybody’s different days when it was just a piece chef that was on the corner and it wasn’t very good. I feel the third staff was very good but she’s been the first step. It was a charcuterie board with wine, which was nice but he wasn’t very engaging and I just thought it was just OK.
Francesco not only took us to great places with delicious food he send us extra lists of don’t miss experiences
We luckied out and were the only people in the group so got to hear more of the history of Milan, ask lots of questions and get some great recommendations for restaurants. The food was plentiful with the added bonus that unlike other food tours we have been on at each stop we could choose our own food options. Make sure to try this tour out and thanks again to Francisco for being a great tour guide
Excellent & yummy food. Francesco is very knowledgeable and accommodating Cxxxcxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Had a great tour with Francesco. Very knowledgeable about the history of the city and all 4 locations he brought us to were excellent. He even provided restaurant recommendations for us afterwards. This tour is a great way to see the city with some food along the way. Grazie Francesco!
We had a wonderful food tour and found the experience well worth it. If you want to get a good idea of a city I highly recommend going on a food tour. You get to know neighborhoods away from the more popular but very congested tourist areas. For this tour, our guide Francesco was wonderful! He had great information about the food we ate, the buildings and neighborhoods we wandered through, and the historic sites along the way. This was our second time in Milan and we discovered Via Dante, Via Garibaldi, and the Brera neighborhood of the city, a beautiful part of Milan. I truly enjoyed it that we went back that evening and strolled, shopped and ate in Brera and ended our evening at the gelato shop we tried that day on the tour. Francesco loves his city and his excitement to share all the information and food was infectious and I feel more Milanese now than during our first visit to Milan! This was our second food/walking tour with Viator so highly recommend the experience in any city that offers it. Prepare to walk for about 2-3 hours, where comfy shoes especially in Italy and enjoy the day with local who loves the city and promise you will too after you finish. Thank you Francesco for a memorable and fun experience!
Our guide,Michiela, made the entire experience. Not only did she speak About the food, but related her personal experiences growing up as a native of Milan and connections to the culinary scene. She was fun and extremely personable with a gracious friendly attitude. She’s a great lady and I give her high marks. She gave us recommendations for places to eat. Great fun!!!
My original tour was cancelled because there weren't enough people. I was added to an afternoon tour, but that was cancelled the night before due to issues with the guide. I did get a full refund and communication about the cancellations was good.
