The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. It is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam as it produces three harvests per year. The fertile Mekong Delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The delta area marks the end of a 4,500km journey made by the Mekong River after having traveled through six countries. Mỹ Tho is one of the biggest cities in the Mekong Delta, dotted with serene Buddhist pagodas and surrounded by dense rivers. Many great destinations for visitors have been established by the local government and private companies, serving thousands of tourists every day. We recommend this tour for those who want to get an overview of the Mekong Delta for a few delightful hours.

Itinerary
Pick-up Time: between 8:00a.m. - 08:30a.m. at hotels located in District 1; and drive 1,5 hours to the Mekong River. We will stop along the way for refreshments and toilet.
Upon arrival, step aboard a motorboat and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Mekong River as we cruise along its picturesque canals and waterways, taking in stunning views of the legendary Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix Islands.
From the boat, you'll relish the sight of Rạch Miễu Bridge – one of the Mekong River's grandest Vietnamese-built spans.
As we cross the river to the Bến Tre Village, we’ll make a stop at a traditional workshop where you can witness the step-by-step processing of making coconut candy, honey farming, and more, while indulging in some delicious samples and enjoying the sounds of traditional music. Experience the charm of local life by taking a peaceful sampan ride along the shady, breezy canal, rowed by friendly locals. Afterward, hop on a Xe Lôi – a type of local transportation – to explore the villages.
Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese 5-course set menu for lunch at a riverside restaurant. Please inform us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
After that, take some time to unwind and soak up the serene ambiance of a typical Mekong Delta garden, or explore the charming village on a leisurely bicycle ride. Embark on a scenic boat trip through the picturesque canals shaded by water coconut trees, as we make our way back to the Mỹ Tho pier.
Board the bus and head to Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, one of the most outstanding pagodas in the Mekong Delta. Visit the enchanting Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, a unique blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian architectural styles. Home to many intricate Buddhist statues and carvings, it’s a must-visit destination for those interested in cultural and religious sites.
Enjoy a comfortable and relaxing 1.5-hour transfer back to Hồ Chí Minh City, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of your day in the Mekong Delta. We’ll drop you back to pick-up point or somewhere in city center as your request.

It was an amazing experience in Vietnam. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable he knows everything he was saying about every place we went to. It was a small group tour which is perfect for my family who are mostly introverted 😊 For me the highlight of all the activities we did was the boat ride 🥰

When you go to the Mekong Delta, Joey must be your tour guide. She is very friendly, speaks excellent English, knowledgeable and in control of the tour. There are many different aspects to this tour and you need a guide who makes you feel comfortable in a new environment. A small group is advisable. My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Mekong Delta. The food was great and we saw so much new and interesting things. The Mekong Delta and the people are unique and one of a kind.
