We had an amazing day with Piero in Athens. He did an incredible job showing us around Naples and then welcoming us into his beautiful home to prepare our lunch. Everything we made was delicious. He exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We would not hesitate to book a Cesarine experience again and definitely would love to spend more time with Piero.
Ana was an excellent teacher and very helpful with transport. The market visit was very interesting and we loved cooking with her - learnt some very good tips !!! Fantastic food ! Ana is a charming hostess and keeps things simple with great ingredients - which is how we like to cook.
I write this as it was beyond disappointing and I would suggest people not to go. At the last minute the host changed the meeting point which was fine. I was super excited to cook but got there and the host was sick and sent her husband to take me. They should have canceled which would have been the ethical thing to do so that I could have chosen a different tour But instead they decided I should have a new tour that they made up on the spot included zero cooking rather was 4 hours walking around Naples which I had already done without telling me. The host spoke poor English and often had to pull out Google translate and had me very confused to what I was paying $135 usd for I want to request a refund and I don’t believe with this level of ethics they should be allowed to run tours as they have essentially stolen this money off me and been dishonest. If I could report them I would
Catherine, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to read this, especially as our intention is always to provide a warm and authentic cooking experience. We sincerely apologize again for the unexpected situation that day due to illness. It was never our intention to disappoint you or to offer something different without proper clarity. We understand how frustrating that must have felt, particularly when you were looking forward to a hands-on class. Your feedback is important to us. Thank you very much,
Rafaella and Enzo are the sweetest couple!!! From the moment I met them I felt their warm hospitality. We started with a pleasant stroll through their town. They were sharing interesting and historical facts. I loved the large, indoor farmer's market we visited to pick up our cooking ingredients, small bakery and other cute little stores. Since I like fennel so much she decided to incorporate that into a salad. In their beautiful, historic and well-preserved home I was welcomed with some aperitivi, with sun-ripened treats from their backyard and little mozzarella di bufala balls that were divine! Rafaella showed me the tricks and gave me insider advice on how to knead the pasta dough. I thoroughly enjoyed creating a main course and dessert with them. And eating it all at their beautifully laid out supper table in their company was the cherry on top. I highly recommend this experience and I will definitely book them again when I'm back in town!! From downtown Napoli the Metro takes you to their station in less than 30 minutes plus a 15 minute walk straight to their house. Very well worth it!
Our chef, Emanuela, was wonderful. We visited the market to buy cheese, etc. and then made delicious ravioli and tiramisu which we ate on her balcony with an amazing view. She suggested that her driver pick us up at our apartment because her home is a bit hard to reach. He also drove all of us to the market and, on the way home, he and Emanuela gave us a tour of some of the sights in the area. An amazing experience!
Visiting from Australia. Went to this lovely restaurant with family. Amazing! Great Seafood dishes. Very fresh. Loved the diverse range of seafood dishes on the menu. Meat, pasta and pizzas also available. What we loved was the family Atmosphere and the attention by the many waiters. Well worth a visit.
Anna S. is a wonderful host and credit to the Nappolese people. She welcomed us into her home, taught us how to make pasta and Tiramisu - lots of laughter, joy and sharing of cultures. Must do to learn not only about Neapolitan cooking but also the people who live there.
