This was a great day. Lucy was an excellent tour guide. She knows the material and she is excited about it. I would go again.
We would strongly recommend booking with The English Bus if you are looking to take a day trip. The buses were small (about 12 people), comfortable, and clean. The guide was very helpful, gracious, and entertaining. It is definitely worth spending a little more money to avoid being stuck on a large tour bus.
Hello Merry Jo! Thank you so much for your review. Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the tour with us so much and you appreciated the smaller vehicle and group - it makes a huge difference to the experience! All the best, Chris The English Bus
We booked a tour with Cara Withers to Stonehenge/Bath & Cotswolds. We have booked many tours all over Europe and Cara was one of the best! We had a family of five and she was engaging and personable. I would highly recommend anyone to book a tour with this small but mighty company! Thank you for such a memorable experience ♥️♥️
Hi Ashley, Wow, so great to hear that you had such a great time on tour with our own tour de force Cara! She is brilliant and will love reading your kind words, thank you very much for choosing to travel with us! Hopefully we get to welcome you back on one of our other tour routes one day. All the best, Chris The English Bus
We debated whether it was worth giving up a full day in London to visit Stonehenge, Bath, and the Cotswolds. By the end of the tour, we couldn't have been happier that we did. The destinations themselves were incredible, but what truly made the day memorable was our guide, Lucy. She is one of the best storytellers we have encountered on any guided tour. Her knowledge was extensive, but even more impressive was her ability to deliver it in a way that was engaging, entertaining, and never overwhelming. Lucy had an exceptional sense for timing. She knew when to let the scenery speak for itself and give everyone a chance to simply take in the beauty of the English countryside. Then, as we approached a historic site or point of interest, she would seamlessly draw us back in with fascinating stories, local history, and insights that brought each location to life. What could have felt like a long day instead flew by. The balance of history, scenery, and storytelling was perfect. Stonehenge, Bath, and the charming Cotswold villages were all highlights, but Lucy's guidance elevated the experience from a sightseeing trip to a truly memorable journey. If you're considering leaving London for a day trip, don't hesitate. If you're fortunate enough to have Lucy as your guide, you're in for an exceptional experience.
The tour was amazing! Cara was fantastic, so knowledgeable, kind and energetic.
We had a great day on tour yesterday in spite of iffy weather. Our guide, Val, was prompt, personable and professional. She was very knowledgeable and fun! included anecdotes and fun facts along the way! The whole day was lovely and after the ride home, dropped us at a tube stop closer to our destination.
Had a wonderful day out with Tony at Stonehenge and Bath! Perfectly timed to get out and back with tons of gorgeous scenery and a knowledgeable guide. Recommended highly!
Kara was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable about everything England. Cannot more highly recommend this tour! Looking forward to going back and exploring Bath and the Cotswolds more in the future!! As your time is limited in each spot you do have to choose whether you want to explore or sit down and eat as there isn’t time for both! Grabbing take away for eating on the bus was a great solution for us. Would absolutely book a tour with the English Bus and Kara again!!!!!
Jon was excellent! We learned so much about Stonehenge, Bath, and the Cotswolds. He’s well educated and has a fun personality. His timing is perfection. Just enough time in each location. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Our driver Lucy was great! Warm, professional, funny, good with accents, I learned about history, beautiful buildings, Queen Victoria’s ankles, the big pastry rind on a Cornish pasty. And my daughter and I felt taken care of. Recommended
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! Lucy will be thrilled to read this — she really does cover an impressive range of subjects, from Cornish pasty construction to Queen Victoria's ankles, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It means a great deal to know that you and your daughter felt genuinely looked after — that's exactly what we hope every guest feels. We hope to see you both on board again soon. Don't forget to check our website for live availability, and you'll find the best prices there too. Thanks again for choosing to travel with The English Bus! Jen
