The greek theater is amazing. We unfortunately went with the guided tour and it being low season, had only two other people who happened to speak italian in it. We were made to feel like third wheels and it ended up not only being not worth the extra €32, in addition it was a waste of our time. We walked away from the tour midway when we realized we were continuously getting 1-2 sentence descriptions while long conversations we didn’t understand happened for the other couple. Left a bad taste. Go with the audio tour instead.
Beautiful to die, theatre of the Greeks in on top of a mountain overlooking the Vesuv and the Messina Strait , can't help but go !!!!
Our guide, Francesca, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got a good overview of Taormina’s history and she even talked about local plants, which we really appreciated. Our only issue with the tour is the lack of information about parking. We had a rental car and it would help to provide guidance in the tour information on where to park. Otherwise, all was as described.
From start to finish the tour company and the guide (Gerry) were professional and accommodating. The Greek Theater was extraordinary and the guide was quite knowledgeable.
The guide was very patient and friendly. Everything was perfect. Thank you for this experience! I hope to return to Sicily soon
