Scala is historic opera I have watch recordings. The interior beauty is stunning. Guide only knew about some musicians and not other major stars. Museum was a random collection of oddities.
A golden guide, fascinating, in an exceptional place steeped in history, absolutely to be discovered with someone who tells you about centuries of Italian evolution through the great composers and conductors who left their mark on La Scala. Thank you, magnificent 🥰 And in August, the theater is under construction with impressive scaffolding and a week to clean the sumptuous chandelier 😳 And the glimpse of the intimate boxes allows access to the lair of this legendary theater 😍
We liked the tour. Well organised, a professional guide, who told us a lot about the theatre and it's history. The theatre itself is beautiful. Excellent experience!
A little disappointed. I thought a guided tour would take us backstage... we went into the main foyer, saw 1 box, and visited the museum. The best part is the guide. But the tour is limited.
An hour 'ish was the right length of time. You could stay in the museum afterwards if you wanted to.
Very interesting tour, our guide was perfect: passionate, attentive... She gave us many explanations about the building's architecture, the documents, objects, portraits of artists...
The guide was very well informed and had extensive knowledge about the opera, its history, and the Italian composers. The opera house itself is of course very impressive. Only the meeting point was not well indicated by TripAdvisor and we had to actively look for the guide! The marker that is set on Google Maps leads to the street intersection. However, the meeting point was at the entrance to the Scala. Otherwise, though, a nice tour with lots of background information and a great view from the boxes into the opera house.
Very comprehensive tour of La Scala, very lucky to see rehearsal taking place & them go back to see the opera house again !
Very thorough and interesting background and history of the theater along with very beautiful artifacts and instruments. Inside the theater is magnificent.
The guide cancelled about three hours before the tour. It was my last day in Milan. Rude! I had not time to schedule another guided tour.
