Description

We visit Peles Castle, found on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia. Its blend of Neo-Renaissance and Gothic Revival architecture with Saxon and Baroque influences makes it a unique settlement of a Monarchic family in Europe. Exquisite decorative details to be discovered! We then travel by gondola lift to an altitude of 2100 meters to enjoy amazing views of the Carpathians and settlements. The clean air will help you with the breathtaking scenery! We finish the tour in Brasov Old City where we experience the real Transylvanian lifestyle and eat delicious local food.

Great day

This was a great day.. we had a personal tour by Vlad. He picked us up from our hotel in Bucharest. A very knowledgeable guide who conveyed many and varied facts about Romania. As this was a personal tour we were able to vary the tour schedule with a number of interesting options suggested by Vrad, such as a visit to a local house. This was a long day. However, it went very fast because of the number of interesting places we visited. This tour is definitely recommended.

The tour in Hebrew - a great way to get a glimpse of Transylvania

We booked a tour in Hebrew and travelled comfortably in a tourbus with A/C, led by tour guide Alex (great guy with lots of humour). After going with the cabin cable car to the mountain tops near Sinaia (which was extremely foggy that day) and afterwards checking out beautiful Peles castle we went to the so-called Dracula castle in Bran. Instead of going for a tour in the Bran castle itself we decided to explore the local market to shop some local crafts and do a round in a chamber of horrors (way more creepy than the castle). The day finished with our last stop in the amazing city of Brasov (Kronstadt), were we could explore the old city and see witness to it's long history of a place where Germans, Hungarians and Romanians - Christians and Jews - came together. The local synagogue was unfortunately already closed for Shabbat that day, would have been nice to see its interior and design. However, we finished with a nice meal in a local restaurant. What we liked about doing this tour with this agency was the uncomplicated communication with the agency via WhatsApp. They took care of the fact that we are following a vegan diet and helped u with recommendations. One hint: if you go to a Romanian restaurant and say you are vegan it doesn't mean you will be served fully vegan since people often don't understand the concept. Instead tell them that you are fasting and they will serve you only plant-based food.

A day which should not have happened

We had completed a trip the day before to Peles Castle and to Brasov and Bran Castle. In the overview, it mentions nothing about Bran Castle, therefore I thought it would be fine to revisit Sinaia and Brasov. The problem was 4 adults were stuffed into a VW Passat which only seats 3 passengers comfortably. At pick up, the guide/driver mentioned Bran Castle and since we knew the twisting road was to come, we opted to leave after 15 minutes while still in Bucharest. Not a good experience. You should´ve been clearer about the tour.

Operator response

Hello Mr Allan, I am sorry for your experience with our company but truly I don't understand, first of all you didn't tell us that you made the same tour one day before and second of all, we offer Bran castle to everyone that wants to go, we want to offer more, not less, it was clearly a lack of communication from your side because you didn't specify that you did the same tour with other company before and that you DON'T want to go to Bran castle, this is one. Second, our cars are maximum 2 years old, almost brand new and if the tour description is written clear that it's a shared tour, not a private tour, we have different price of private tour. In that day we have 4 people total, we couldn't go with our 19 seats bus for 2 couples. And to finish, the other two people that were in the tour were very happy and they put a 5 stars review. I am sorry that this happened, we are still number 1 company in Bucharest and we wait for you again to repair what we did if you consider it was our fault. All the best!

A wonderful one-day trip to Chinatown, Prague and Dracula Castle

A must-see one-day trip from early morning to evening, was wonderful! We visited Sinaya, the nearby cable car, the palace of Flesh, in Rakhiv and the castle of Dracula, an interesting and amazing trip. Our guide Alex speaks Hebrew, with a lot of sense of humor!

New lands, great sights.

I was thrilled to see Peles Castle, the Carpathian Mountains, and the Transylvanian Plain. A truly great trip with an accommodating, friendly, and informed guide who spoke English very well. So glad I made the trip!

Excellent tour! טיול מעולה

We took a full day tour with Alex. It was a great tour. If you stay for just a few days, that's exactly the tour for you!! We visited all the "have to see" place, we had a guide, Alex, which was great. He is local and knows everything has patience for answer all our question and always with a smile :-). The van was very comfortable and he was also driving carefully. Very recommended.
