What a great day. Take your swimsuit and towel. We drove out of town and up the mountain. The road is winding and narrow, going between boulderers. Stop along some cliffs to take in the view. Stop at some fruit stands to get an amazing mountain banana or some jackfruit. Go see the temples with the amazing sculptures including a huge Buddha atop a massive boulder. Then to the falls. It's a pretty substantial flow of cool, clean water. We were there in late May, very minimal crowd. Changing rooms are $0.50/person and the huge lockers are $1. The little fish in the pool will nibble at you and tickle comedically. There are butterflies everywhere! Definitely a great way to spend 5-6 hours outside Siem Reap. Get the Jeep upgrade. And definitely ask for August as your guide.
Our guide was Sorphea and he took us on a private guide for Kulen waterfall and our driver's name was Savoeun. We had the best day. We were picked up in a jeep, we visited markets in a village, we saw how noodles were made and banana cakes. We visited the natural spring and the river with holy with 1000 lingams in the river. This river is believed to have healing properties. We saw the temple and the laying Buddha and we visited the waterfall. While we were away our driver’s name purchased fresh fruit and had a display of beautiful fruit for morning tea. Savoeun would always offer us ice cold water and washers during the tour. We ate lunch at a beautiful restaurant and the food was reasonably priced and fresh. On our return to the hotel we came across local farmers and their families celebrating the New Year. It was a wonderful experience. The driver stopped and allowed us to watch the procession, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I was so impressed by the guides knowledge of the history or the area and the religious significance of the temple and the river. I would highly recommend both the driver and the guide if you are visiting Siem Reap.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a wonderful day with Sorphea and Savoeun. It’s great to know you enjoyed the local experiences, Kulen Mountain, and the special New Year celebration along the way. Your kind recommendation truly means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back to Siem Reap again soon.
We had such a great day on this tour and honestly couldn’t speak more highly of our guide Sorphea and driver Vuthy. Sorphea was fantastic from start to finish. His English was excellent, he was incredibly knowledgeable, and he explained the history and significance of each place in a way that was easy to follow and really interesting. He was also so caring and attentive throughout the day, always checking in, making sure we were comfortable, and going out of his way to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Vuthy was also excellent – very safe, calm and professional, and his jeep was spotless, comfortable and very well presented. It made the whole day feel even more enjoyable and relaxed. What stood out most was how much pride they both clearly take in what they do. The whole day felt smooth, personal and very well looked after. Highly recommend this tour, and if you get Sorphea and Vuthy, you’ll be in very good hands.

We had a great day with August. He gave us lots of relevant and interesting information, answered all our questions, and allowed some time for private exploration as well.
Thank you for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear you had a great day with August and enjoyed the informative and flexible experience. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable tour.
We had a fun day traveling in an old Army Jeep with our guide August. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the Kulen mountains. Prior to arrival we stopped at a local market to taste the steamed Palm Cake, which was delicious. He also bought pink bananas from a roadside stand for us to sample. Once we reached the mountain we stopped at a number of spots to explore views, rivers, springs, temples, waterfalls and more. After each stop we were offered cold, wet towels to cool down and wipe our hands. We were also offered cold water throughout the day. After visiting the reclining Buddha, August and our driver has set up a lovely morning snack of fresh fruit and whole coconuts to drink. After leaving the National Park, we stopped for a delicious lunch. August was knowledgeable and able to provide a lot of historical and cultural background. He was a gracious guide and answered any question we had! A really fun way to spend the day. I recommend this outing! I would suggest anyone taking the open air tour to wear dark clothes. The mountains have a lot of red dust on the roads and you will definitely return covered in dust. (The tour offered face masks if we wanted while in the car on the dusty parts).
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear you had a fun and memorable day exploring with August. It’s great that you enjoyed the local tastings, beautiful stops, and thoughtful service throughout the trip. We did the full day Jeep tour with our guide August. The trip was incredible. He was attentive to what we wanted to see and was an amazing photographer at all the best photo spots. Would highly recommend taking this tour by 1962 jeep to Phnom Kulen. Worth it!

We did the full-day tour to Phnom Kulen National Park and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Cambodia. The day offered a wonderful mix of nature, spirituality and village life. The River of a Thousand Lingas was especially meaningful, and the waterfalls were refreshing and peaceful, it was a perfect contrast to the heat and intensity of Angkor. Travelling through local villages in an open vehicle gave us a real sense of everyday Cambodia away from tourist crowds. The pace felt unhurried and respectful, allowing time to absorb the environment rather than rush through it. Our guides Ben and Visal were knowledgeable and considerate, adding context without overwhelming the experience. This tour isn’t about dramatic monuments, it’s about connection, calm and understanding the landscape that shaped Angkor itself. We found it deeply grounding and highly worthwhile. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a more authentic, slower and nature focused day trip from Siem Reap.

Everything felt relaxed and enjoyable, never rushed. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information along the way, always with a great sense of humor that made the experience even better. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Great 1st day in Cambodia! Our guide August was so kind and knowledgeable and FUN! He answered all are questions. His English was flawless - we don’t expect this in a guide, but it was a nice bonus and we really learned so much. August is so proud of his beautiful country and wants to share it with others. The open air Jeep was the perfect way to explore. Another bonus - August took a bunch of photos of us and sent them. They’re some of the best pictures from our whole 2+ week trip. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
