Our family of five (three teens) enjoyed our cage dive. We arrived in Gansbaai at 8 am, had a hot breakfast and safety training before going on the boat. After a ten min drive to sea (beautiful views), we put on wet suits while the crew fastened the cage to the boat. Each person had two fifteen minute encounters where we saw many bronze shark swimming in front of our cage as well as a sea lion. We returned to shore by 10:30 am and went inside for a special edited video of our trip (a crew member used a go pro to capture sharks swimming/ all of us cage diving that could be purchased) and hot lasagne (it was a hit!). There was a bathroom to change into dry clothes. We finished up by 11 am. The crew was kind and worked hard to ensure everyone saw many sharks. The crew included marine biologists on board, working to collect data about the sharks. The experience felt environmentally friendly and the staff was knowledgeable. There were varying degrees of excitement in our family prior to this adventure (some excited and others very nervous), but at the end of it, everyone left smiling and happy that we did it! Thanks for a great morning! 🦈
Had a wonderful time. The crew was amazing and were able to see sharks, sting rays and seals. Would highly recommend!
Incredible experience, lots of excitement and the service met my expectations.
The team at White Shark Diving Company are the best. This had been a bucket list item for my son and I and it did not disappoint. We booked our trip from Canada and had many questions and the staff were prompt and super helpful and answered everything. Its an incredible experience. The crew are very professional and super knowledgeable about the sharks. The breakfast and lunch that you receive were great. A really great morning on a wonderful boat with an awesome captain and crew. They even supply you with towels which is helpful when you are travelling. Even though we didn't see great white sharks we had 5- 6 bronze nosed sharks, and one crazy seal which were exciting to experience. Unfortunately the great whites have been driven out of this area by killer whales that hunt them for their liver which is really sad. Never the less we saw a lot of sharks and had an awesome experience. We would do this trip again in a heart beat.
Very organized. Helped get wetsuits sized and even helped pull on the tight suit. They have plenty of sizes for all. Knew their shark knowledge and great hosts. The lasagna is actually very good at the end. Copper/bronze whalers are about all you get at this point due to the white shark orca kill off. Very rare to see apparently and same for us. It's a cool experience though. We drove ourselves from Cape town. Did breakfast, diving and lunch then went to stranveld vineyards then cape agulhas. Long day but the whale coastal drive back into strand was worth it.
We had an amazing shark cage diving experience in Gansbaai. The team was professional and made us feel safe at all times. Seeing the sharks up close was absolutely thrilling and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique adventure!
It was a great experience. I would recommend upgrading to the scuba equipment it makes it easier to see. It was a great crew that was very customer focused.
Fabulous trip saw bronze sharks up to 3 metres. Excellent crew and felt very safe. Breakfast abd a nice lasagne provided after boat trip which went down well
Great experience and really worth it. Brilliant to see sharks up close in their natural habitat and very knowledgeable.
The driver was extremely helpful when he picked me up from Cape Town. As I was transferring hotels on the day of my dive, I was wondering if it was possible for him to take my luggage on the vehicle and drop me off at a different hotel. He said it was, and this saved me both time and money, so massive thanks for that. The diving with the sharks was incredible. Staring a 3 metre long shark in the eye from about 20cm away was extraordinary. Even though the sharks took a while to appear, the crew kept their chins up and found somewhere where there was lots of sharks, and the crew gave us plenty of time in the water. Thanks loads for a fantastic experience!
