Perfect timing, new car, excellent driver, highly professional guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, patient. It was a very hot and humid day and i am not young and do have some mobility problems. But I enjoyed every minute of the tour. It was well paced and we talked about history, architecture, education, food and a variety of topics. I learned a lot and I am looking forward to coming back to Shanghai and going on other tours with Snow.
Me and my family had the best time on our visit to Shanghai. To have a private vehicle and tour guide was amazing. Our tour guide Snow was so nice. Snow answered all of our questions and showed our family the best food and shopping locations. If you are considering this tour, do not hesitate to book with them.
Queena was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local traditions as well as the history of Shanghai. Her English was impeccable. We l arent so much. She was flexible in our booking itinerary. I highly recommend this tour and Queena as a tour guide. We had a fantastic day. It was so nice to get a feel for some traditional customs away from the city. Thank you for the memories.
Firstly, Alana was recommended by a very close friend and she was always very kind and super responsive and helpful. She was available to express and help with we wanted to do, and never pushy for anything. Then we met Kalvin, our guide. He is a super nice person, with more than 20 years experience with tour guiding in China, and he was very knowledgeable about culture, history, and the points of interest in our tour. Our family loved the trip.
Amazing , great tour guide who had excellent knowledge of the history. He was polite and engaging and made the whole day wonderful.
Judy was incredible! She was friendly and created a perfect day. We never went down the same street twice, it was so well planned. This was my first time doing a tour solo, I am happy I had a friendly guide I could chat with. Pro Tip - if the weather is hot, book an afternoon trip at 2pm or 3pm to see the area in cooler temperatures and see the lights.
Zhujiajiao is about an hour or so outside of central Shanghai. Went there with family to check out the town sitting along a waterway. The place had quite a few bridges that give great pictures along with the preserved architecture. The highlight of the trip was the 20 minute boat ride along the canal. There were quite a bit of vendors in the town that seemed like overkill. There were too many shops selling the same things. But for a quick trip out of the city this is definitely an interesting spot.
Hello Ed, Thank you for sharing your experience of Zhujiajiao Water Town. After checking our booking records, we were unable to find a reservation under your name. Your review also focuses on Zhujiajiao itself—its bridges, architecture, shops, and canal boat ride—rather than the guide, transportation, itinerary, or other services included in our private tour. It appears that the review may have been posted under our tour listing by mistake. Would you kindly check and move it to the Zhujiajiao Ancient Town attraction page instead? We would greatly appreciate your help, as reviews on this page are intended for guests who joined our private tour. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Alana
Visiting Zhujiajiao water town was one of the main highlights of our Shanghai trip. The place was mesmerizing and the atmosphere was even better. The variety in the local shops made the place so amazing. What made the trip more memorable was our guide, Jane. She information and attention to details she provided us made the trip more interesting and enjoyable. We will definitely visit Zhujiajiao again!
This tour was amazing! Xin, our tour guide, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable, not only about the Water Town but Shanghai as well. Highly reccomend booking this!
I had a wonderful day exploring Zhujiajiao with my guide, Kalvin. He handled all the transportation from my hotel, which made the day easy and stress-free. We walked through the historic streets, crossed Fangsheng Bridge, visited a local temple, and explored Kezhi Garden with its beautiful pavilions, ponds, and peaceful walkways. I also enjoyed a boat ride through the canals before boat service was suspended later in the day due to the approaching typhoon. Lunch at a canal-side restaurant near one of the historic bridges was excellent. The freshly prepared Mandarin fish, wontons, and water bamboo were all delicious, and the waterfront setting made the meal even better. Kalvin was knowledgeable, friendly, and well organized. As a solo traveler, I appreciated his local insights and easygoing approach. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Zhujiajiao.
