This is a prison tour with a private guide. The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable, but we could have done the same thing without a guide. We thought this was going to be more about the untold stories, so slightly disappointed. Not the guides fault, we just misunderstood the tour details
I can wholeheartedly recommend the tour to everyone. Bae Nam-ok was a great tour guide and was able to convey the history of the prison and the events surrounding it in an interesting and understandable way. She addressed questions at all times and took the time to answer everything. Due to the subject matter, I wouldn't call it fun, but it was pleasant and never boring. 5 stars from me.
Guide Was nice and had a great knowledge. But you can buy the entrance for 3000 won and there is a free QR guide on site. That is why I think that the trip is too expensive to carry out the trip.
A detailed walk through of the Korean independence movement as well as a great overall explanation of the use of the prison.

This visit was deeply moving and truly inspiring. The museum itself holds so much history, and I’m so glad I had the chance to learn with her. She offered thoughtful insights that made the experience even richer. I highly recommend this tour — it’s one that will touch your heart! There were so many things I wouldn’t have understood if I had come alone. Through this tour, I was able to see everything from a Korean perspective and gain a much deeper understanding.
