All as expected. We had a great time.
We have done many food tours and this was one of the best! Suha is a very welcoming and informative guide (with perfect English). The spots she picked gave us a well-rounded picture of Korean food, and it was great to see more than just the market (Ikseon-dong was so charming that we came back the next day). The tour advertises 12 tastings, but we ended up having 17! You won’t be hungry afterward :)
I thought the food tour was fantastic. Anyone could go in the market and find interesting things, but having someone guide you and explain the dishes was very useful and fun. We had an interesting variety of food. The final event of ice cream was incredible. Suha was a terrific guide and shared interesting personal stories. Even having done this once, if I had time, I would do the same tour again.
Really disappointed that this tour was cancelled at very short notice. I had booked it more than a week in advance as part of my 50th birthday celebration. Without any communication from the tour company, I just get an email at very short notice saying it was cancelled. I presume because there were small numbers booked that day. No one tried to reach out and suggest another date or time. I have had the same from another company in Korea but they communicated well and we managed to arrange a private tour for just a little bit more money. I would have been happy to do the same here. Just wanting people that
This was the BEST food tour! Suha was so educational and made this a great experience for everyone. We tried so many foods!
Suha was a delight & if possible, every single delicacy got better and better. Organizing, ease, information, food quality, & food presentation were exceptional. Suha was not only personable, but informative. We learned so much about her beautiful country & culture in the best possible way- enjoying wonderfully prepared dishes. Yum, yum, yum! Our family of five found this experience and exciting way to learn & nibble our way through Seoul. Also, it is impressive that our teen & two young adults were in awe as much as we were. That speaks volumes in my book! This experience is a must!
If you are looking for the ultimate food adventure, stop scrolling and book this tour right now! We did the 4-hour market and food tour, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. First of all, our guide, Suha, is a truly wonderful human being. She wasn't just a guide; she was warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and made us feel like family. We want to make sure she gets all the recognition she deserves—she is an amazing person! he tour is called the "12 Different Food Tasting" tour, but let me tell you, we had way more than 12! Suha kept the delicious surprises coming. From the bustling Gwangjang Market—where we braved everything from the melt-in-your-mouth Yukhoe kimbap (beef tartare roll) and savory Bindaetteok (mung bean pancake) to the adventurous San Nakji (live octopus) paired with Makgeolli and Soju—to a super fun stop at a 24/7 Ramen Store, we were in foodie heaven. We finished the day in the gorgeous Ikseon-dong area with a massive, refreshing Bingsu (shaved ice) platter featuring strawberry, mango, and red bean. Everything was absolutely Ma-Shi-Seo-Yo (delicious)! Thank you, Suha, for an unforgettable day. We would do this again in a heartbeat!
Awesome way to experience Korean food and learn a bit about the culture. Patient and friendly guide. Highly recommend this experience.
Our host Suha, was fantastic!
We are foodies and do a food tour at every destination we visit. I can honestly say that this one was the best ever. Our guide, Suha, made sure to explain every dish in its makeup and history, allowing us to appreciate the food so much more. Her perfect English and social engagement enhanced the experience. There was a lot of food and a great variety, which gave a great sample of the Korean food culture. I wish all food tours can be like this one!
