A good solid food tour with some delicious and interesting choices of food. Some people opted not to partake in a special dish, but no spoilers. The guide was very knowledgeable but a little formal and robotic at times. Still a great experience I would suggest to try alot of the local foods.
Great experience. Suha was knowledgeable, personable, and fun!
This was such a fun and interactive experience and easily one of the best food tours we’ve ever done. I unfortunately can’t remember our guide’s name, but she was absolutely amazing and made the entire experience unforgettable. She encouraged us to try everything, explained each dish in detail, and shared the history and cultural significance behind the foods we were eating. It wasn’t just a food tour—it was a chance to learn about Korean culture through its cuisine. I also appreciated that she never rushed us. She gave everyone time to enjoy each stop, ask questions, and step outside of their comfort zones. Because of her enthusiasm and knowledge, we ended up trying foods we probably never would have ordered on our own, and we’re so glad we did! The tour was engaging from beginning to end, and it truly felt like we were exploring Seoul with a local friend rather than following a scripted tour. If you’re looking for something different from the typical sightseeing experience, this is absolutely worth it. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul, whether it’s your first time or your fifth. Come hungry, be open to trying new things, and you’ll have an incredible time. 20/10—highly recommended!
All the ingredients to create a memorable and enjoyable experience!!! Suha was warm, interesting, intelligent and knowledgeable! First up was the open market. Chaos and flavor sums it up. I would’ve felt flustered on my own, but Suha guided us expertly through several different options, with explanations of why some dishes are popular in S Korea, when Koreans eat it, etc. this insight made each dish even more appealing. Our fave was the pancake platters!! Yum!! The tour was so helpful that the next day, we confidently ordered and ate this on our own near our hotel . 😀 Dessert stop was a gold mine!!!! Don’t skip dessert friends!!! 15+ unique tastings!!! Book this tour with Suha!! And prepare to experience more than good food!
Come hungry and ready to have an amazing experience! Suha shared her Korean culture and so much delicious food with great enthusiasm, and in a personal and engaged way that made the entire group connect and have fun together. The food was fresh, authenitic, and delicious, and we even got a very nice walking tour as we pursued our food into the neighborhood! We were in Korea for 3 weeks and this tour was our favorite activity. We would enthusiatically recommend it to everyone who comes to Seoul!
Suha was an amazing guide with great energy and knowledge. We always do a food tour everywhere we go (we are passionate traveling foodies) and felt lucky to get her for a private tour. She shared a lot of information about life in Korea in addition to introducing us to 18 incredible traditional foods in Gwangjang market and Ikseon. Definitely be hungry for this experience. It was so much more than expected. We revisited a couple of the places she took us to the next day and felt so welcome.
We have done many food tours and this was one of the best! Suha is a very welcoming and informative guide (with perfect English). The spots she picked gave us a well-rounded picture of Korean food, and it was great to see more than just the market (Ikseon-dong was so charming that we came back the next day). The tour advertises 12 tastings, but we ended up having 17! You won’t be hungry afterward :)
Excellent experience! Overall we tried over 20 items, some very adventurous
All as expected. We had a great time.
