Arriving in a classic London black taxi, your private driver/Guide will collect you from your central London hotel, and then you’ll be on your way. Relaxing in the black cab’s comfortable seats, with air-conditioning and a glass panoramic roof, sit back and watch the sights of London pass by as your friendly Guide tells you about this fantastic city – from above and below!
While the skyline of London is rightly famous, not so many know about the city’s network of subterranean tunnels – we will stop to explore some of these fascinating tunnels underneath the River Thames, and visit an underground church crypt. Hear about the tunnels’ uses during Victorian times and learn about the secret passageways that were said to be used in the world wars.
After exploring below ground, head back into the daylight to continue your journey around central London. Climb the 311-step staircase inside the Monument to the Great Fire of London (or simply, ‘the Monument,’ as Londoners know it) to get great views of the City and get a certificate to prove you did it as well. Your guide will take you through City of London for an incredible view of the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral.
Marvel at Westminster’s skyline from the top of a tower and see top London attractions like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from this panoramic vantage point. Your tour can include a tantalizing sight of the River Thames as you cross above it by the new Thames Cable Car (extra charge) that connects London’s Royal Docks to the Royal Borough of Greenwich, on the south side of the river. Absolutely loved this half-day tour with Greg. Did you know that London taxi drivers go through 4 years of courses/training before they are able to take the roads?! The knowledge of and to the the city of London are evident from the welcome. Greg loves this city. He loves history. He loves the Beatles. From hotel pickup, Greg turned on the tunes and took us to the beginning of it all. Many tours start the tour depending on proximity of pick up. Greg told ya to settle in and sit back. He was going in chronological order to really give us the full experience. Such a gentleman, very patient for the needs of these tourists. We cannot recommend him enough. DO IT! Stop researching Beatles tours. This is the one.
We did this tour with David and I cannot imagine a more knowledge guide. He quickly learned our interests and took us places we wouldn't have gone on our own but would definitely go again because of this tour.

My husband, daughter and I had a fabulous London tour with Greg. He picked us up at our hotel on a rainy morning at 9AM. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. He adapted on the fly as he became aware of our daughters interests in the royal family and Harry Potter and my husbands interests in history and music. Greg gave us the opportunity to get out of the car and do some walking, when the rain let up. His interest in the history of London was obvious, genuine and infectious. The time just flew by and before we knew it, our 4 hour tour was over. If we have the opportunity to return to London, we would certainly do another tour and request Greg. We highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I along with two dear friends were in London in September. We had planned a city tour of London for September 9, but the tour company cancelled on us due to a citywide bicycle tour. We were able to book a tour with Capital Taxi Tours at the last minute. We had a limited time to view the city and we had never been there before. We were so fortunate to have an outstanding travel guide in Michael. We were picked up at our hotel in a very clean, comfortable, and air conditioned cab, which even included an amplification system so we could all hear clearly. Michael was able to make the most of our limited time in London. His love of London was truly infectious. Beside showing us the famous places in the city, Michael was able to give us a history of the period so we were better able to appreciate what we were seeing. Michael truly made our brief visit to London special. We could not have had a better guide of London. We hope to be able to visit London again and continue our tour this fascinating city.
