We had a brilliant time at The Magic Circle. Great fun and we'd recommend it to anyone, young or old. Ian (Rowland) was a great guide and Fay (Presto) a wizard of a magician. Thank you
This was a hugely entertaining and highly enjoyable outing. We were looked after by Ian from start to finish. We arrived early as we wanted to make sure we had front seats. Ian, the super kind and accomodating host, immediately put our minds at ease and promised to take care of us - and that he did, without fail ! The afternoon show was completely enthralling and kept us on our toes / on the dge of our seats from start to finish. We had treated our friends (and ourselves!) on this outing and they told us afterwards that it had been the best afternoon so far in their lives - In order to understand how big a compliment this is, you need to know that they are in their sixties and have done lots of fun things already in their lives ! So, basically, go and see this show - You won't be disappointed !
We had an amazing experience of magic close up on the 26th June. We had the opportunity to see and meet 4 very talented magicians The audience was captivated with each performance and left speechless We have recommended this show to everyone we speak too A spectacular experience 10/10
We received a warm welcome at the door by smiling, friendly staff all decked out in special attire. It put us all in that "magic mood" right away. He showed us in and we were instantly taken in by the decor and ambiance, especially after flying in from California. This was a special occasion for sure. We had a wonderful evening with friendly staff and several award winning magicians. My son studies card mechanics as a hobby and really loves Close-up card magic and sleight of hand shows so this was a really big hit. There were several fascinating magicians and a history overview as well as a tour that really took our breath away. We loved every minute of our visit and encourage more families to get tickets to their shows and events. We have attended the Magic Castle in Los Angeles and agree this is quite similar in talent and yet quite different in many ways. It holds it's own high reputation. We were pleasantly impressed. When in London, we'll definitely go again. Thanks for the referral Mr. Turner. ;)
An absolutely fascinating experience. Will definitely go to one of the regular shows and will also try for the Christmas special.
I went to see Secrets of the Magic Circle last night, featuring the new show from David Penn, the tech magician, and it was honestly fantastic from start to finish. The whole experience is a brilliant opportunity to explore the Magic Circle itself, watch some incredible magic, and see it all up close and live. Being treated to world‑class magic from the legendary Michael Vincent in such an intimate setting was something really special. This was followed by some fascinating and very entertaining history from Marcus Morgan, which added a lot of depth and context to the evening. Then it was time for the headline show of the night: David Penn’s Magical Robot show. David bills himself as the “tech magician” and that’s exactly what you get – a clever, seamless blend of technology and magic. The show feels modern and original, with some genuine “wow” moments that had the whole audience reacting. It’s the kind of show that appeals to all ages – magic fans, tech geeks, families – everyone. I won’t give any spoilers, but I highly recommend you go and see this show, and experience the whole Secrets of the Magic Circle visit. With two shows a day, it’s a fantastic day or evening out and works really well for families with different ages or anyone travelling into central London to visit the HQ of magic - the home of 10’000 secrets. Highly recommended – 5 stars.
Fantastic trip well worth the money. The two hosts were very good Ian (member of the inner magic circle) made everyone feel at home and was very funny and knowledgeable. We started off in the club house where we met all the other people on the tour. He told us about the exhibits and some of the posters which were very interesting. Also had an introduction to the building and how it was designed from scratch. From there we went up the helix staircase to the theatre and stood on the stage and wondered round. Had an introduction to the lighting etc. Really well-equipped small venue. Then on to the boardroom which had more exhibits, Houdini, Paul Daniels, Tommy Cooper. Brilliant especially the statue of one of the founders and how it featured in a magic trick Downstairs to the museum, star exhibit for me was the original Marauders Map they made for harry potter that opened automatically and wasn't CGI based. Finished off with 15 minutes of magic in the clubroom. Close up tricks that I have no idea how they did, totally brilliant. Absolutely worth the money
This is such a brilliant experience. I loved every second of it. I loved how the day flowed. It was great to experience the museum, as well as seeing the close‑up magic and the parlour show, and then ending with the fantastic stage show.
Fascinating and mind-altering. All the performances were splendid and masterfully curated, from the table tricks to the museum, and the shows of Michael Vincent, David Penn and the charismatic Goldie Puricelli, who excelled in representing the female contigent alone with her astonishing divination and slight of hand wearing a totally sleevless dress. Thank you so much to the Magic Circle's Lee Hathaway for organising this for me. Bluebell
This was a splendid experience; a chance to get behind the scenes at the Magic Circle. Our guide was Alex, who did a great job of taking us round and explaining the history and some of the personalities. The highlight for me was the chance to look round the museum, which contains some remarkable memorabilia and possessions of well-known magicians. All in all, a great tour
