Very unique - different from a tour of a winery. Head sets in several languages, written summaries at each location and appealing visuals along the underground cellar route resulted in an overall great experience. Afterwards (we had bought 3 samples, which I would recommend as each is uniquely different) we began our tasting. Staff were very professional and pleasant.
Great, rich and above all very entertaining tour. Time flew by and the tasting was excellent
Unique and full of interesting facts. We were able to go at our own pace and enjoy time in the cellars. The handheld devices were easy to use, albeit could be distracting when standing next to another person. There wasn't an earbud option so noise could carry if volume was too high. The tasting afterwards was fun and added to the experience. All in all, would take family/coworkers here again.
This tour was on my list when I visited Vienna, and it was a great experience. I did the tour myself with the audio guide, and it worked out perfectly. The tastings were very good, Chardonnay Brut Reserve and the Rose Ice Secco were the best!
Unmissable! An absolute gem of Vienna. You learn so much and enjoy the independent self-guided tour with an audio guide. The tasting experience is excellent; I highly recommend the Connaseur Tour tasting experience. A tour takes about an hour. Enjoy as a solo traveller or with a group of friends. Accessible by public transport, convenient time slots, and super affordable. There is also a shop.
Very informative yet entertaining. Impressive that such a cellar is in the middle of Vienna! The glass of sparkling wine then rounded off our visit perfectly.
Very interesting and nice experience. Excellent wines for tasting. Recommend for anyone interested in the history of Austrian sparkling wines
Was a very interesting tour of the impressive cellar vaults and explanations about the champagne production
What a visit!!! Absolutely beautiful tour and considering we live in Spain and are surrounded by wineries..this was different and at the story was so interesting. The self guided tour was very engaging and we learned so many interesting things. It's a must visit and easy to reach from Vienna centre. The tasting was also amazing and very surprised at how must we enjoyed the wines (we are Spanish wine snobs!!). We chose the Rose collection tasting and bought some at the airport (we only had hand luggage so couldn´t buy what we wanted during our visit). You will not be disappointed. Recommend going for the tour when it opens as it is quieter and you get space to yourself t do the tour and take amazing photos.
My wife and I really enjoyed the self-guided tour and all of the history of sparkling wine caves. As a still winemaker, the production process used was very fascinating to me. At the end of the tour, we enjoyed 3 glasses of the Schulmberger sparkling wine and an interesting discussion with the wine educator.
