I had a great time on this trip. The communication from the tour company was very clear and organized, and our driver came early. Out tour guide José was also great and I learned so much from him. He was attentive to everyone's needs throughout the day. We also packed many interesting stops and made it back on time which was excellent!
Jose and Jean were both great with us with providing information and care for our safety. The itinerary was perfect for us with the right balance of what SD has to offer the food was absolutely delicious as well. Thanks for making this experience possible and memorable.
We had a great experience on this Santo Domingo city tour! Everything was very well organized from start to finish. The itinerary ran on time, transportation arrived as scheduled, and the vehicle was clean and comfortable throughout the day. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. He shared a lot of interesting historical facts and local insights that made the experience much more meaningful and enjoyable. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic and want to explore Santo Domingo without worrying about the logistics, I would definitely recommend it. It’s absolutely worth it!
Absolutely a tremendous educational experience. Our tour guide Victor was excellent and very knowledgeable. Victor's personality was engaging and kept things lively. The food was excellent, the town square, the lakes/caves, and seeing the Dominican culture up close was awesome. We were able to visit a jewelry factory and vendors if we wanted to purchase souvenirs. It felt as if there was pressure to purchase. As for our host, this excursion was 5 star, but the pressure to purchase took away from the experience. We purchased a ring (larimer stone), and before purchase we were told the total cost was $175.00, taxes included and the upcharge for tourism. The total cost ended up being $189.00. Mark
A lot of walking lol but our group really enjoyed it. The tour guide was amazing and so was the driver.
Great day in Santo Domingo, Jose has been an amazing guide, he’s fun and his enthusiasm and expertise are amazing!
Amazing experience. I would definitely book again
Good tour; they are very punctual. The trip is long (so patience and attitude are required). Our guide, Héctor, was very patient and knowledgeable about the country's history (45 years of experience), very kind at all times. He gave us time to explore calmly, cleared up many doubts, took us to iconic places, even acted as a photographer 🤭. The place for lunch was also very good, homemade food with good seasoning and great service. He guided us very well through the colonial area and gave us time to buy souvenirs. The museum Casa del Cordón that we visited was very interesting as we learned all about the Taíno culture that existed before the arrival of the Spanish. He also gave us time to stop for a delicious typical coffee from Santo Domingo. The tour with Héctor was super pleasant. Only the driver exaggerated and drove very fast. It was fine, but there were moments when we felt like we were going to crash because he cut in front of cars badly, and it was raining, and still, the trip was long.
Cordialmente, Luz F.
We had a great day visiting Santo Domingo. I was expecting the drive to be unbearable from Punta Cana but it was a smooth ride with a pit stop in between for a bathroom break. Our driver, Anfry was prompt and drove safely. I had been told it would take about 3 hours to get there but it took just over 2 for us. Jose, our tour guide was great at teaching us Dominican History lesson and talking about Dominican culture. There are plenty of things to see and learn about, but keep in mind you’re in the sun walking around. Please make sure to go prepared with appropriate shoes, sunscreen and water. We did the cenotes, the Christopher Columbus lighthouse, and the presidential palace before heading to a buffet lunch. The portions were huge and it was really tasty. After lunch we had a lot more walking with sights like cathedrals and plazas and quick stops at the chocolate shop and gift shop. I had seen reviews that people were mad because they felt like the tour only consisted of gift shops but our stops were 5 minutes each and such an insignificant part of our day. You do get to see and learn a lot on this trip and I highly recommend a visit.
Our experience was really good. The tour was executed excellent. We really felt the culture of Santo Domingo.
