Pickup Locations & Times
Pick-up is included from most hotels and resorts in the Bávaro–Punta Cana area. For the Cap Cana area, you must request an access pass so we can enter the property. The night before your tour, you will receive a confirmation with the exact pick-up time and whether it will be at your hotel Lobby or Security Gate. In most hotels, pick-ups are done at the Security Gate unless you request and obtain a special access pass for us to reach the Lobby. Pick-ups start within a 1-hour window before the tour begins. Please be ready at the confirmed location 5 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. Our driver will take a photo of the Lobby or Gate upon arrival. This is my second time during this tour and for the most part, it was okay. Keysha was accommodating and very helpful. The only gripe I’ll have is, I feel as though the ATV’s need to be serviced more. When you step on the brake, it literally gives you whiplash. I also think the tires should be checked, along with the overall maintenance of the ATV’s. Other than that, no complaints. I love getting dirty and being on the ATV’s since I’ve been riding them since a kid.
If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic, this ATV excursion is an absolute must! From start to finish, everything was well organized, fun, and packed with adventure. Riding the ATVs through the muddy backroads and beautiful countryside was such a thrill. The trails were exciting, and getting covered in mud just made the experience even more memorable. The guides were fantastic—they were friendly, funny, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe while still letting us have an amazing time. The stops along the way made the excursion even better. Swimming in the cave was such a unique experience with its cool, crystal-clear water, and Macao Beach was absolutely breathtaking. The beach was clean, the waves were beautiful, and it was the perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the incredible scenery after the ride. This excursion offered the perfect combination of adventure, nature, and relaxation. It was worth every penny, and I would book it again without hesitation. If you’re trying to decide whether it’s worth it, trust me—it absolutely is. Just wear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy because that’s half the fun!
Unfortunately it was not what we were expecting. To start, they were not allowed inside our hotel so we had to walk 15 minutes to the security gate which we only found out on the day. Once we arrived we waited about 30 minutes for others to arrive. We were then taken to a hut where we were sold a bunch of things, presented as learning about DR coffee and mamajuana, which was not included in the itinerary. It took almost two hours before we finally got on the buggies. The buggies were not in good condition, at least the one we had. They were started by connecting wires and ours stopped working during the ride so a guide had to fix it. Another buggy in front of us also broke down and had to be pushed aside with our buggy. We had to cross a highway with the buggies which was done by closing it with ATVs, which didn't feel very safe. The cave was very crowded so it was hard to enjoy. The beach was beautiful but we had limited time there. We were a bit surprised at the end of the tour and tried to understand how they have a 4.9 rating, but then we heard one of the organizers telling another couple that if they give a 5 star review they would get something free in the store. The price was great and we did get to ride the buggies and see a cave and a beautiful beach, and we understand people are working hard, but overall it was not what we were expecting and not for us and we wanted to share so others were aware and can make the decision for themselves.
Great experience! Tour guide was polite and professional. Truly enjoyed the cenote and beach! Be ready to get wet, dirty, and have a great time.
