Salt Mine, the Muddy Volcanoes and Wine Tasting Private Day Tour from Bucharest!

Description
Private Day Tour to Salt Mine in Slanic Prahova and Muddy Volcanoes bonus Lacerta Winery from Bucharest.

Itinerary
The Muddy Volcanoes have been a protected reservation since 1924. The Muddy Volcanoes in Buzau county are not the volcanoes you would expect. They’re not the big, real volcanoes that scare off people with volcanic ash. Not by far. But they’re a pretty amazing and unique place in Romania.
Unirea Salt Mine is located in the town of Slanic Prahova. It is the second largest salt mine in Europe, located 208 meters under the ground and with a height of the 54 meters of its hall. You will have a simply breathtaking walk in the mine.
We shall have a stop in Fintesti town at Lacerta Winery (available upon reservation) which is now one of the most modern wineries in Romania. Wines made along the 45th parallel which positions the Fintesti vine estate at the same level with the Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion as well as the Toscana vineyards, are prestigious for their rich, complex and silken taste. Wine tasting is possible - at your own expense - either 3 types of wine for 29 Ron/person or 6 types of wine for 49 Ron/person.
The private tour is provided by I Travel in Romania company.

Andrea our guide was very friendly and helpful. Took us to the salt mine, mud volcanoes and vineyard of Lacerta, 100% recommended, the 3 spectacular places!!!
Vlad was our tour guide and he was amazing beyond all expectations. He was very knowledgeable about everything one could possibly ask about. He took us to additional places along the way that were well-worth the visit and let us spend time doing the things we were interested in. The Salt Mine was amazing. The Mud Volcanoes are even better than expected. Well worth the trip. No lines or tourists at all. Vlad took us at just the right time.
Thank you Laura for your words of appreciation for my colleague Vlad. We are glad to know you enjoyed the whole trip! Wishing you more safe and interesting travels!
This tour was a great way to get away from Bucharest for a day and see the countryside of Romania. The salt mine was surreal, the muddy volcanoes made for some great pictures even though it was raining and the LaCerta wine was some of the best I’ve had (so easy to drink). We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide, Victor, made the day even better.
The salt mine is huge but not spectacular. The visit to Lacerta winery and the wine tasting experience was the highlight of the day, so we would strongly recommend taking this tour on a weekend. The muddy volcanoes are a nice attraction as it is not something that we've seen before. The guide, Mihai, was very courteous, made sure we made the most of our day, picked us up on time and provided useful information not just on the visited attractions but on Romanian history and attractions.
I spent an amazing time. Romania has a really fertile soil to make salt or wine. I was lucky to drink 3 tasty wines in Dealu Mare Region. Mud volcanoes are so fascinating with their uninterrupted irruptions. What a drive with Mihai in the charming Romanian countryside. I definitely recommend this tour.
Dear Maxime, It was such an interesting tour and with some great weather to enjoy the winery but also the Muddy Volcanoes. Thank you for your kind words! All the best to you, Mihai
What a great day in July! We left a little earlier than the description states but we missed traffic and got to the salt mine before it got to crowded. It is very cool! The winery was great (I recommend the 6 wine tasting - we did 3 reds, 2 whites and rose) and the mud volcanoes were pretty cool. By the time we got back to Bucharest, we were exhausted. Our guide (Dan) was great, telling us stories or just letting us sleep, depending on what we wanted. Highly recommend this tour!
Dear Kay, Even I was not available I am glad you accepted to have Dan as your private tour guide. Thank you for your kind review. We are happy to hear again you enjoyed the tour with Dan and also were able to avoid the traffic by starting earlier. Wishing you happy travels! Mihai / I Travel in Romania

What can we say - FABULOUS!! The Salt Mine is breathtaking, the wine tasting a delight and the mud volcanoes an out-of-this-world experience. Our guide was fantastic. DO THIS TOUR !!

The salt mine was absolutely stunning and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of Lacerta winery. Muddy volcanos had an appearance of a Luna like landscape. Frolin was very professional and knowledgeable - a great tour!

This was such a unique experience and the winery was a great bonus! Definitely book a day that includes the winery. Christi was a great guide.

The best tour we did whilst in Bucharest. Ionut our guide for the day was great. The salt mine was incredible, it was huge. The winery was on the side of a beautiful valley with great views and good wine. The muddy volcanoes were fun to see, with a moon like terrain. Would highly recommend.
