Unique tour and loved the cheese farm. Amazing cheese. Walk through Kinderdijk windmills was beautiful. Tour guide was friendly. Communication could have been clearer that we were meeting on the Waterbus vs dock.
Sadly our tour was cancelled 40 minutes before our scheduled departure, allegedly due to staff illness - we did everything ourselves after some challenges with transport and managed to enjoy Kinderdijk on our own - give it a go yourself.
This was very disappointing. We went by car since our guide said the water taxi would involve too much travel for him. We didn’t spend anywhere close to 30 minutes in Kinderduk. We walked on our own to one windmill since our driver left us to go get the car. There was no offer to go to the museum or to see other windmills. The cheese factory was interesting and educational. We were not there for more than 45 minutes. I told our guide I wanted to take the water bus back to Rotterdam so he dropped us off at the water bus stop. He told us it would be two Euros. We had to wait 45 minutes for the water bus and the cost was 10 Euros each person. Do not believe the advertisement that it would be 4-5 hours. We were with our guide no more than two hours. I would like Viator to respond to this.
Roy was an exceptional guide. He was very accomodating and went out of his way to please us. I highly recommend him and his amazing tour.
The tour guide was very nice and easy to work with (Roy). He made it a relaxing day. He was very informative
Fun experience, loved seeing the windmills up close and explanation history. Cheese farm was wonderful and informative and the cheese was delicious. Our guide was adaptive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Had a great time! Knowledgeable about the windmills and had a great cheese tasting. He was super flexible and happy to work with us when our plans changed.
Such a nice tour. Roy was knowledgeable and accommodating. The windmills were lovely and the cheese tour was so cool. Absolutely loved trying a local product!!!
Great personalised tour with local knowledge. Way better experience than expected and small group definitely enhanced the experience. Booij Kaasmakers were unreal small cheese makers and OMG the flavour soo good. Roy was great tour guide with local knowledge and not often you get friendly with tour guide but Roy made it special. Will definitely look at booking another tour with him!!!
Roy is a fantastic tour guide. He spoke excellent English and was very informative and fun to talk with. The cheese farm owners and staff were so friendly to visitors and made excellent cheese. We were able to taste various aged cheeses and flavors. The whole process of making cheese in small batches was educational and we wish we could get this type of cheese all the time instead of mass manufactured and processed cheese. A highlight of our trip!
