We offer food tours that let you experience and taste Rotterdam in all its glory. Our savvy local guides will tell you wonderful stories about their city, and on the way you will stop many times for a special bite and/or drink. We let you taste the Dutch classics (bitterballen anyone?), but you also get to try many international specialties, and we end with a 'gezellige borrel' (a drink with friends) in a cool local brewery. Itinerary
This is our first point of interest. From here we will go on to visit many different spots in the city, including the West-Kruiskade, the Markthal, Central Station, the Cube Houses, both bridges, the Nieuwe Binnenweg, and many more. On the way we will stop many times for lots of food: the Dutch classics like bitterballen, cheese and poffertjes, but also international delicacies, craft beers and chips. Come hungry!
First Bite: Sample delicious hand-cut fries from a local vendor that has been a Rotterdam staple since the 1960s.
Wander through the West-Kruiskade, a vibrant district where over 170 nationalities come together to celebrate global culture.
Second Bite: Savor authentic Asian street food at a specialty spot that brings the traditional flavors of Shanghai to the city.
The Giant of Rotterdam: Encounter the life-sized statue of the city's most famous resident, a man who stood an incredible 2.38 meters tall.
Beeldenroute Westersingel: Explore the Westersingel sculpture route to discover an amazing collection of open-air art while strolling along a beautiful canal-side promenade.
Quirky Art: Visit the city’s most controversial and humorous sculpture, a playful monument that critiques modern consumerism.
Third Bite: Taste a selection of premium Dutch cheeses paired with a glass of port at a boutique dairy specialist.
Discover the energy of the city's most famous social street, packed with art galleries, trendy cafes, and a rich history of local nightlife.
Fourth Bite: Experience the soul food of Rotterdam with a traditional Surinamese chicken curry sandwich at a beloved local institution.
A Symbol of Resilience: Pause at the powerful "Jan Gat" monument, which symbolizes the city's heart and its remarkable rebirth following 1940.
Fifth Bite: Step inside a world-renowned architectural landmark to sample classic Dutch seafood favorites like fresh herring and fried fish, accompanied by a local jenever.
RiF010: Visit this unique urban water sports park where you can watch surfers catching waves right in the middle of the city center.
Laurenskerk: Admire the Laurenskerk, a historic symbol of Rotterdam’s identity and close to the site where the legendary Erasmus was born.
Sixth Bite: Share a plate of fluffy mini-pancakes crafted from a secret family recipe that dates back to the 19th century.
The Cube Houses: Explore the futuristic "Blaakse Bos," an innovative residential complex designed to resemble a forest of tilted cubes.
Final Toast: Conclude your journey at a local brewery with a refreshing local craft beer or other beverage and a serving of savory Dutch snacks.

Great overview of the city. So much food we could not even eat at the last stop. Well worth it and would recommend this. The guide was very good.
Umesh was knowledgeable and lots of fun. We learned about Rotterdam history, architecture, food and art. It was so insightful!
Dear Lucia, Love the name, I'm sure Umesh will too :). So glad to hear you enjoyed it, thanks again for your booking! Best, Paul.
Astrid was a fantastic, passionate tour guide who knew Rotterdam inside and out and spoke about her city with pride. Come with an empty stomach! We’ve done food tours in other countries that was more of a snack focus but we got to the 7th stop very full. It was a great way to experience Rotterdam’s culture, would highly recommend!
Dear Catherine, Such a lovely review, thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it all and that you were suitably sated by the end :). I'll let Astrid know! Best, Paul.

We visited Rotterdam for a couple of days before a cruise to the British Isles. We had an absolutely incredible time on the Bite Me Food Tour in Rotterdam! Our guide, Umesh, was outstanding—he was knowledgeable, charismatic, and clearly passionate about the city's food scene. He took us to hidden gems we never would have found on our own, blending local history with delicious tastings. From the stories behind the snacks to the vibrant local atmosphere, everything was top-notch. It truly felt like exploring the city with a local friend rather than just a tour. If you're a foodie visiting Rotterdam (or enjoy a walking tour with delicious treats), do yourself a favor and book this tour—and definitely ask for Umesh! 5/5 stars.
Dear Angela, Thanks so much for this detailed review, we really appreciate it! We're lucky to be able to work with Umesh, I'll be sure to relay your message to him. Hope you enjoy(ed) the rest of your cruise! Best, Paul.
