Rock Tour in Gibraltar by Bus with Tickets

Description
This trip will take you to Gibraltar for the most famous Rock Tour! Gibraltar is known for its impressive Rock located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, where we will delight in the unique views of the Strait of Gibraltar, which separates Africa from Europe by only 14 km. On this route, visitors will make their first stop at the Pillars of Hercules, from where there is a beautiful view of the entire Strait and Africa. After that, the journey will progress to the Cueva de San Miguel, an unbelievable natural grotto in the centre of Gibraltar with geological formations like stalactites and stalagmites. We will continue through the Rock to meet the famous and friendly Barbary macaques, the only apes than live in freedom throughout Europe. At the end of the tour, our visitors will be able to visit the lower part of Gibraltar and stroll along its famous Main Street, full of shops that give Gibraltar its reputation as a shopping centre, and other places of this English colony.

Long drive to Gibraltar from Seville. Handed off upon arrival to another tour company and their system was brusque and disorganized. The guide was awful. Did not even mention the pillars of Hercules, just said it was a scenic stop. No mention of the history and significance of WW2 sites (partner mentioned, he was disappointed). Rushed through the cave with no guidance. Taken to see the monkeys and then confusion as to where they were going to drop us off. Overall it was a giant waste of time. Either find a different company or go on your own. So bad we are thinking of skipping our next scheduled/already purchased tour with them. We weren’t the only ones confused by the way. Others we spoke to felt the same way. Oh and the “guide” asking for tips at the end was the icing on the cake.
Hi, thank you very much for your feedback. We're really sorry to hear you had some inconveniences and we would like to express our most sincere apologies. We took notes of the comments you shared with us and we will reviewing them with our staff and your guide to ensure it won't happen again. Kind regards.
We were told at 1:20 that our 230 tour had been canceled, and changed to 12:30. Someone scrambled to get 6 of us a car and driver, Ryan Kennedy. He drove us to the cites, paid our fees, which had already been collected by Viator, because they said our tickets were not valid. It was a very concerning problem. However, Ryan was an amazing guide. We are not sure if he was even connected to Viator. The rock, the caves, and the apes were worth seeing.
Tour was right on time. Not clearly marked as to the pick up point but in the elevator the 2nd floor button was marked as bus tours so that is where we went. Mini bus was comfortable. The driver gave history of Gibraltar and explained what we were seeing. The only drawback was that he didn’t use a microphone so only those in the first two rows could hear him. Gibraltar is quite impressive and well worth the visit. Cable car is being dismantled and a new larger one will be installed.
On the whole this was a good tour. It wasn't as easy to find the meeting point as I had expected after taking the public bus from the border, but we managed to find it after some helpful directions at the main bus stop. The driver was very good and the Russian guide (speaking in accented English) was informative and tried to bring in some humour. The time we had at the stops was adequate although I was disappointed that the tour didn't include a stop at the tunnels which I had thought was included when I booked the tour.
We are frequent travelers and this was the worst, most disappointing tour we've experienced! The tour was 20 minutes late starting so the guide rushed us through the various scheduled stops to make up time. Then dropped all of us at the Spain-Gilbralter border instead of returning us to the starting point!!! We then had to walj6 4km back to the bus terminal (original starting point). This was totally unacceptable!!!!

Absolutely great procedure Bus station just after the border easy to find even the bus driver very nice everything absolutely OK
Terrible experience. Tour was supposed to start at 2:30pm and now still sitting at the bus garage at 2:50pm waiting the tour to start. 3 drivers and a lady that was directing everything argued for 20 minutes and put us in the Spanish speaking bus(we booked a tour in English. They couldn’t get the language audio to work so they moved us to another bus that doesn’t have a driver. The guide in the yankee hat is very nice though while we all sit on the bus waiting to leave on the tour. It’s now 3pm so 30 minutes late and the bus hasn’t left yet.

The sites we visited were good! The driver was able to get up & around tight places. But I would have liked more information about the history of Gibraltar. More info about what we were seeing. With the guide facing the back of the bus so that her voice is heard better. And we were dropped off at the wrong place! Neither guide nor driver asked us where we were parked! Fortunately we found a different driver with the same company that took us where we needed to be- at the same parking garage where we boarded the bus!
Great way to see as much as you can when you only have a day in Gibraltar! David our tour guide was awesome and the tour commentary was educational.
The driver was crazy, I am shocked we didn’t run over a pedestrian or hit something. We were told 1:45 tour and it was 1:20 at best and I felt we skipped one of the best views we could have had.
