Terrible experience!

I don’t write negative reviews, but this experience was another level of terrible. I didn’t catch the tour guide name, but it was a woman with a driver on bus #1. Her explanations were unenthusiastic, never given looking towards the group. She was rude with a family multiple times, even when the person was just trying to make a joke. On the last stop the whole bus came down to do the tunnels and the bus didn’t wait for the group to drop us in town, as the final location explained on the tour description. We had to walk around and find our way to town, going down hundreds of steps. We had to ask people on the street for guidance. My son and I were ok doing this, but there were about two to three older couples that i don’t even know how they got back in the boat since the walk after the town to the boat was half an hour. We were planning on spending the afternoon at Eastern Beach, but after this underwhelming experience we decided to spend the rest of the day inside the cruise…very unfortunate. She shouldn't be a tour guide with that attitude.

Excellent tour

Our recent Top of the Rock Gibraltar tour was an absolutely exceptional experience, largely thanks to our driver and guide, Angel. From the moment we began our ascent, Angel’s professionalism and knowledge transformed the journey into a captivating exploration of Gibraltar’s rich history and unique landscape. Angel’s expertise was evident in every aspect of the tour. He navigated the famously narrow and winding streets of Gibraltar with remarkable skill and confidence, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for everyone. Beyond his driving, Angel provided an exceptional overview of the island’s history, seamlessly weaving in fascinating local insights gleaned from his own upbringing in the area. This personal touch brought the historical narratives to life, offering a depth of understanding that a standard tour might miss. What set Angel apart was his engaging personality and perfect sense of humour. He injected just the right amount of wit and charm throughout the tour, keeping everyone entertained and making the learning experience even more enjoyable. His ability to connect with the group and share his passion for Gibraltar made the tour not just informative, but genuinely memorable. The Top of the Rock tour itself had breathtaking panoramic views, iconic landmarks like St. Michael’s Cave and the Great Siege Tunnels, and the chance to encounter Gibraltar’s famous Barbary macaques/Monkeys. However, it was Angel’s guidance that elevated our visit from a sightseeing trip to an immersive cultural and historical adventure. We highly recommend this tour, and especially Angel, for anyone looking for an insightful, entertaining, and expertly guided exploration of Gibraltar.

This was a fascinating...

This was a fascinating tour with an excellent guide. Gibralter is an amazing island and our guide did a great job of educating us on its charms. The Rock is impressive and of course the monkeys were fun, but we were most impressed with how they function and take care of their people.

Great tour and tour guide. Initial pickup was challenging.

Tour was great and our guide, Angel, was very outgoing, enthusiastic, and entertaining. We couldn't ask for a better guide. The only reason for the 4-star and not a 5-star was has to do with the pickup. There was no signage for the pickup as mentioned in the pickup instructions. We found the correct bus by going down the line of busses, from various tour buss companies, and asking if it was our bus. Because of this our group of 6 all had to sit in different locations for any available seat.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback, glad it was an enjoyable experience. works are being done shortly to improve the localisation of the tour operators.

Rock tour Gibraltor from Norwegian cruise stop

The only way to go.... The guide was amazing and shared very interesting personal experiences. The driver deserves and award for navigating that terrain. We got a short view of everything in our brief stop from the cruise ship.

Monkey magic

Blands is large carrier and buses/check in are just outside where street starts, but buses don’t arrive until 5 mins prior, so kinda hard to locate. We had a guide 33 year old native to Gibraltar who was so entertaining. The monkeys were the stars of this tour for our group.

Operator response

Thank you for the feedback. meeting point is Midtown coach park, 2nd floor. Glad it was an enjoyable experience

Nicky deserves a kudos! Enjoys his work

Great arrangement. Just ask where we should be and then you give your name and a van will be assigned. Our bus driver was called Nicky and he told a lot about Gibraltar and that made trip very nice!

Nice tour

Best part of the tour is St Michael’s cave. Nice to be picked up at the cruiseport. I found the tour to be too rushed. The itinerary states it includes the Upper Rock Nature Reserve but it does not include the tunnels or the suspension bridge or the skywalk. Basically its entry to St Michael’s cave.

Operator response

Good day, Sky walk is not included in any of our tours unfortunately as our buses have no further access up that road. Yet the Rock tour + ww2 includes St michaels as well as the tunnels :) We are happy to hear you enjoyed. Thank you for your comments
