We’ll pick you up directly from your cruise port in a private vehicle and take you to learn about the conservation efforts to protect sloths, monkeys, and scarlet macaws. Next, we’ll visit a chocolate factory to learn about the production process and sample a variety of chocolates. Afterward, we’ll stop by a rum factory to taste rum cakes and different rums. Your final destination will be West Bay, one of Roatán's most beautiful beaches with its white sand and crystal-clear water. Here, you can relax at the Henry Morgan Resort with a day pass and enjoy all its amenities, including a restaurant and bar if you wish to purchase food or drinks. This mix of activities is perfect for those looking for both fun and relaxation.

Once your cruise arrives at the port, our team will meet you right outside the port when you arrive in Coxen Hole or at Mahogany Bay. You will be picked up in a private car with your personal driver, ensuring a personalized and private service. From there, we will set off to begin your excursion for the day.

You will be given a wristband for access to a reserved beach chair, restrooms, and a fresh-water shower at one of our partner resorts on West Bay Beach. Here, you'll receive all the attention and comfort for your beach day. After enjoying your time on the beach, you'll be returned to your ship on time according to your ship's schedule.
Timely and Convenient Return to the Port After your tour, we’ll take you back to the port with plenty of time before your cruise departs. We’ll leave you inside the port and make sure everything is in order before saying goodbye. Our goal is to provide a smooth and worry-free return, so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

Meeting time is one hour after your ship docks. You may disembark earlier, and if you arrive late, our representatives will wait for you MEETING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PORT OF ROATAN, COXEN HOLE: After disembarking, enter the port and pass the shops and artificial rocks to your right. Turn right towards “Piraña Joe” and continue straight, turning right before the “Tucán Gift Shop.” Follow signs towards “Port Offices,” “Taxi,” and “Exit” to a covered pavilion with tour company stalls. Proceed straight through to security gate 1. We will be outside with a “ROATAN TUCAN ADVENTURES” sign. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAHOGANY BAY CARNIVAL CRUISE PORT: Walk through the Shopping Center and exit via the Covered Gangway. Turn left on the road and walk uphill to the Security Gate. Walk down the small hill; our staff will be at the bottom with a “ROATAN TUCAN ADVENTURES” sign.

Tour was very organized. We had a large party of 20 and everything went smoothly from pick up to drop off. Our tour guides Emilio and Ruth were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Roatan was amazing will even go back to visit for a getaway. The beach and food was delicious.
This was one of the coolest excursions we did on our cruise itinerary! It was absolutely worth paying a little extra through Viator to have a private tour guide. We had a group of four, including one person who was nervous about getting off the ship in Honduras. Booking a private excursion made her feel much more comfortable because we had a knowledgeable local guide with us the entire time. Our first stop was the animal sanctuary. The monkeys were fun, although one hissed at one of the men in our group, and he eventually had to step out of the enclosure! The birds were also neat, but be warned—their talons are sharp when they land on your head. Lesson learned: don’t be the first person in line! The sloths were amazing and were definitely the highlight of this stop. Next, we headed to the private hotel and beach area. We booked one of the first excursions off the ship (around 8:00 a.m.), so we arrived before the crowds. About an hour and a half later, buses from several other excursions started arriving, so this is clearly a popular destination. We weren’t huge fans of the beach because vendors were constantly approaching us, so we moved up to the pools, which were much more relaxing. After about an hour, we were ready to head back. Our tour guide, Alfredo, was another highlight of the day—he was fantastic! We stopped at the rum shop and picked up some rum cakes, then visited the small chocolate shop downtown. The chocolate was delicious, but the shop itself is tiny (about the size of two cruise ship cabins), so if you don’t like small spaces, you’ll probably be in and out quickly. We also asked to stop for coffee, and Alfredo took us to his favorite local coffee shop. He had us try his favorite chips, too! He was incredibly accommodating and told us, “You’re the boss today,” offering to take us anywhere we wanted, including his favorite lunch spot or any local attractions we were interested in. His personal vehicle was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, and in excellent condition. I would absolutely recommend this excursion, especially if you want the flexibility of a private guide and a more personalized experience.
We were able to learn about the sloths and take pictures of them, we had a chance to interact with the monkeys and birds. The beach was really nice, clean and they had great music. Our guide Cynthia was great, very friendly and accommodating. She took us to a Caribbean restaurant. The food was delicious.
Just finished our cruise vacation and this was by far our favorite day! Our guide Elda was wonderful! She made sure we had the best of everything at every stop and was a wealth of knowledge about the island. It was clear she is well loved because everyone knew her wherever we went. The monkey/sloth sanctuary was awesome and we have a lot of great pictures of the monkeys on our shoulders. The beach at Henry Morgan was beautiful…the best sandy beach of all of our port stops. I picked this excursion because of the private transportation (my family had Elda all to ourselves) and I am so glad I did! It was a great family day and we felt well taken care of in Roatan!
Our guide Kendrick was so much fun! He drove us around and showed us the sights. He told us about the island and we shared many laughs.

The meeting went smoothly Jamie was nice In the beginning I had to ask questions about the island but she eventually starred talking more. I have to say I have been in many excursions and this is the first one that didn’t offer water sounds simple but it’s the little details that matter. The beach was absolutely beautiful and Jamie was very sweet.
Ruth our guide was amazing. She knew so much about the area, the history, way of life and facts in Rotan. We all had so much fun with the animals and the grandkids are still talking about the Sloths. We are all still enjoying our chocolate. I hope we can go back again and we will be sure to ask for Ruth. The company is lucky to have her. She is a great tourism ambassador.

Mr. Allen was incredible!!! We had the best tour and day with him! Felt very safe and cared for! Loved how attentive he was and how he wanted to make our day special! Would hands down request Mr. Allen for any tour moving forward!
