Beautiful boat ride, sweet flamingos, great salt lakes, overall a successful trip. However, the communication beforehand could be significantly better (changing the meeting point half a day in advance is a bit unpleasant)
The pink lake and nature reserve boat ride was over and expectations. The pink lake was very pink. Albeit man made for the purpose of making salt, the reason of going pink from microorganisms un high salt environment is the sane. The boat rude in the reserve was such joy. Albeit midday, the reserve was teeming with wildlife - 2 alligators hidden in mangrove roots, 2 grey pelicans resting at our boat, many egrets of different species, 2 eagles on bald trees, one red ibis flying past. ... Our guide Pablo was a super guide. Very good English, he was looking after everyone and the schedule so that everything went smoothly. Thank Pablo for a great experiemce. I was surprised that there was our group of 11 at the pink salt lakes and our group and another group at the nature reserve. Felt such relief after a busy people day at Chitchrn Otza. Mind you iys a 3 hour plus rude from Cancun one way. The 'salt tax' or admission was USD62. One comment about s AC in the ban was not enough on the very hot day we had.
