Praia da Reserva, also known as Praia da Reserva de Marapendi, is a beach located in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood, in the West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. With about 8.0 km in length, it is located between Praia da Barra da Tijuca and Praia do Recreio.
Barra da Tijuca beach is the main beach in the region and extends along Sernambetiba avenue to Recreio dos Bandeirantes. It is the longest beach in the state of Rio de Janeiro,[9] with eighteen kilometers in length. From Ayrton Senna Avenue, the beach does not have a boardwalk, as it is a region of environmental preservation.
Joatinga beach is located in the Joá neighborhood. It is a beach, less than 30 m long, which you can travel from one end to the other in ten minutes.
Pedra da Gávea is a monolithic mountain in the Tijuca Forest in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Composed of granite and gneiss, its altitude is 842 meters, making it one of the highest mountains in the world along the ocean shores.
The beach is about 11 km long, starting at the end of Avenida Niemeyer and going to the São Conrado Tunnel. The beach of São Conrado is characterized by clear, soft sand and strong waves that are the biggest attraction for surfers in the region, but which, unfortunately, is usually unsuitable for bathing due to pollution.

Rodrigo de Freitas is a lagoon located in the South Zone of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Although it receives water from several tributary rivers that descend from the surrounding slopes, among which Rio dos Macacos stands out, it has brackish waters.

This was an incredible experience. We were the last flight of the day, and they were patient with us because we were late due to Rio traffic. The weather was not great that day but they gave us the best experience possible under the circumstances. We flew by Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Mountain, and all the beaches. Be careful, the fares are attractive and you should know that for a 35-minute flight you have to go about 30 kilometers from Rio and you lose about 10 to 15 minutes of approach flight to Rio. In the end, what seems interesting, is not too....
