Couldn't download the audio in advance and had to rely upon a crappy connection to the internet. I gave up after about a third of the way through. Descriptions and points of interest were largely boring (for the part I actually made it through) and there was little explanation, except when there was too much - I can see the frescoes on the buildings and don't need you to describe them. How about telling me who put them there and what they represent..? And why are there so many fountains in this city? Nobody knows... I've done a few of these self-guided audio tours now and before this had good experiences with them. This was the worst - I am asking for my money back...
We see that you were disappointed with the tour and would like to address your points. The tour requires your own device and an internet connection to function, which is clearly stated in the product description. Since you didn’t have good and stable access to the Internet during the walk, it unfortunately couldn’t be used as intended. Although we were not obliged to do so, we refunded your purchase immediately, as we understand that sometimes people do not read the description carefully. Regarding the content, the tour was created by a guide with over 10 years of experience leading tours in this city and is based on extensive research from multiple sources. It is designed to provide a deep and informative experience. Most of our visitors have praised its quality and depth, though we understand that people may have different expectations of what constitutes quality. We hope that in the future you will meet more service providers who, like us, are willing to take extra steps to ensure a fair experience, even when the misunderstanding is on the customer’s side.
It was boring and difficult to follow because it was too slow. It had a repetitive soundtrack which was disturbing and it talked too much about murals.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. As stated in the product description, the tour includes information about 20 unique frescoed houses in the city. This information is deliberately included because the Old Town is full of painted façades that cannot be ignored, and they provide a convenient way to tell the story of the city. Regarding the pace and style of the tour, we understand that different visitors have different preferences, and what feels too slow or detailed for some may be enjoyable and informative for others. We hope you enjoy many more wonderful discoveries in your future travels.
Wonderful to have an audio self-guided tour at our own leisure – it gave us the opportunity to stop and have a coffee or a glass of wine and to talk about what we experience without having a live guide and interrupting the group
Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the freedom to explore at your own pace, take breaks, and fully experience the city. May each journey bring you unforgettable discoveries!
Once we found the beginning location and figured out how to find the link for the tour, it wasn’t too hard to follow. The detailed info of the many paintings on multiple buildings was too much. We should have done a guide led history tour. There are 97 different slides to go through. We stopped at 67 bc our batteries were running out. If you like detailed fresco tours, it’s for you just not for us.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! This particular tour is designed to tell the story of the city through its frescoes, so it does go into depth and works best when enjoyed at a slower, self-paced rhythm. Wishing you plenty of future journeys filled with the kinds of discoveries that bring you the most joy.
What a wonderful tour full of information! The tour took us down very special streets and we heard a lot of details about many houses. We only had a little bit over an hour to spend, I think we did about half the tour. But money is so well spent! Excellent tour.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We really wanted to create a high-quality, affordable tour that gives a detailed and engaging look at the city, and it’s wonderful to see that even in the short time you had, you could feel that. Wishing you many more trips full of enjoyable discoveries and great experiences.
Information was thorough and lots of stops on walk Did have trouble with audio freezing up and not playing Had to reset multiple times Not sure if it’s the download my provider are blind areas of coverage Still enjoyed it and think it is worth it
Thank you for leaving your feedback! We’re glad that you enjoyed the tour and found the content detailed, even with the technical issues you had. From our experience, these kinds of technical issues are usually caused by weak or unstable internet connections on the user’s side. We wish you all the best, and many future trips without freezing problems, with informative and engaging content to enjoy along the way.
This audio guide should not sell two croquettes even User, since it is an audio without guide and also never works for us. The very formal manager but do not work if one does not have in Mobile with sms
We’re truly sorry to hear that you weren’t able to use the audio guide as expected. We’ve reviewed your case, but it’s difficult for us to determine exactly what went wrong, as the links we provide generally work well for other tourists, and we found no issues with the one sent to you — initially via this platform and later also by SMS. That said, we’ve already issued a full refund.
I loved the tour and although I tried to move quickly, I was unable to complete it for lack of time. My biggest challenge was that I could not get the link to work and not only was that inconvenient, but it cost me money to call the contact person.
Thanks for your feedback! We send the access link right after booking and we’re sorry you still had to call for assistance. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour, even if you didn’t get to finish it. If you return to Lucerne within the next year, you’ll be able to continue using the same link.
This self-guided audio tour was perfect for us. We wanted something we could do at our own pace, stop to get a drink etc. This allowed us to pick up right off where we left. It ends at the Lion Statue which is exactly what we are hoping for. I learned a lot of facts I'll never remember but was amazed in the moment.
Reading your review brought a smile to our faces because we totally get that feeling — exploring a new city, learning amazing facts that might not stick but make the moment truly special. We’re really glad you experienced that with our tour and enjoyed the freedom to explore at your own pace, ending exactly where you hoped. Thank you for sharing!
Too much time spent on frescoes Would have liked more history and cover more ground. More info about architecture
Thank you for your feedback! The focus on frescoes was intentional — many key moments from Lucerne’s history were told through the images on the walls. These artworks aren’t just decoration; they carry stories about the city’s origins, its development, and its people. The idea was to explore the city by reading its walls — answering the natural curiosity that arises when you see these scenes and wonder: what do they mean, and why are they here? Wishing you all the best in your future travels — may your expectations always match the experience!
