Good experience, please note pregnant women won’t be able to do any of the activities except for the lunch. I wasn’t aware and paid everything, but was unable to do the boat ride or the snorkeling at 5 months.
Surprisingly the excursion is extremely well organized and smooth running. Our guide Rodolfo was very polite, efficient and knowledgeable. The driver for car H22 was very on time and drove cautiously. Saw much fish as expected. Three tacos for lunch was just right. Would recommend the trip to family and friends.
Transfer from hotel was rather long as we were first pickup and last to drop off do over an hour each way. Snorkel trip and lunch were both good. Guide was very helpful. It was well organised. Be aware that no cameras allowed so you have to buy their photos if you want them.
The snorkeling was very beautiful. Very close to what you will see in the Florida Keys. The water was clear, shallow, and the reef was healthy and the fish abundant.
Hello Scott, Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad you enjoyed the snorkel experience and that each part of the reef made your day special. We hope to see you on your next adventure!
After arrival by van and the short pre-snorkeling briefing, we went out on the boat to the reef. There were about 20 in our group and the reef was full of colorful fish. We were lucky to see both a beautiful sea turtle and a nurse shark during our visit. We had a long visit to the reef and saw lots of fish and coral. Back on shore, we had the tequila tasting and taco lunch. This was followed by some time to shop at the local markets. Certainly a highlight of our trip to Cancun for my three kids 15, 13, 8. Highly recommended.
Jose the guide was great! Very friendly & helpful - they did point out turtles, sting Reys, & barracuda, which was cool! They did not take us to 2 different places - the boat stayeed tied up in same place, and we went out snorkeling, came back im the boat for a bottle of water, then did it again. The lunch was lame - not filing, little flavor, and any beverage was extra! The "tour" around town was equally lame - a chance for the locals to pedal their souvenirs. The information on line says reef friendly sun block only, but they don't allow sun block of any kind - which was a big problem for fair skinned people in our group! They made you shower 1st! If you have a fair complexion, be sure to bring proper clothing to cover up! If you have transportation- save your money and do the 2 hr snorkeling tour only - as that part is good - rest: not so much!
Hello dear traveler, thank you very much for your comments. I would like to clarify the misunderstandings that occurred during the tour. We visited the national reef park of Puerto Morelos, which belongs to the second largest coral reef in the world, the distance of this barrier reef goes from the north of Quintana Roo to the country of Belize, so the distance that is traveled during this tour belongs to two sections within the same barrier reef. Regarding food and beverages, these are specified in the inclusions section, only one snack is given on this tour and beverages are charged separately. The sunscreen is a restriction put by the Mexican government, as it is a measure of protection in this national park dedicated to the preservation of nature, so these are measures that must be followed to take care of the environment where we go to know, do not forget that it is home to a lot of marine life and it is our responsibility to take care of it by going to know it. Thank you very much for your understanding and we hope to see you soon in the Mexican Caribbean.
