We traveled all the way from Seoul, Korea to experience the Ras Al Khaimah desert safari in last week, and it was absolutely worth it! Even the hot day the experience was perfectly organized, and the evening cooled down just in time for us to enjoy the traditional dinner under the stars.
The traditional performances and stargazing made the night even more special. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and the BBQ dinner was the perfect way to end the day.
We had a fantastic time at the desert safari. Our driver Nazir picked us up from our hotel on time and took us to the desert, where he proceeded to do some crazy fun driving around the dunes. We had the opportunity to stop and take photos, and have photos taken of us. We were then driven to a little oasis in the desert, set up in traditional Bedouin style. Tea and coffee were provided and we could also purchase other refreshments like soda or wine. We also ordered a shisha. There was a lady who did henna tattoos - a basic flower design is included in the tour price, or you can get more complicated mehndi for an extra charge. Cards are accepted. We were treated to a range of entertainment throughout the night, including belly dancing and a fire breather. The buffet-style BBQ was fantastic - the chicken shish was a particular highlight! At the end of the night Nazir dropped us back at our hotel. We had a fantastic time exploring the desert and relaxing in the oasis, everything was put together really well and ran seamlessly. I would highly recommend it.
