Get ready for your Half day desert safari Dubai as our guide picks you from your selected location or hotel. Board our 4WD vehicle that will take you to the desert. Once you reach the Lahbab desert, be welcomed into an air-conditioned tent with refreshments (Arabic tea/coffee with dates) take a small break for 20-25 minutes, make use of restroom, or even opt for a quad bike drive, while your vehicle ready for the off-road drive with adjusted tyre pressures.
Next, seat comfortably for the dune bashing session. Enjoy the rhythm of the vehicle riding over the sand dunes and feel the adrenaline rush! After around 30-45 minutes of dune bashing, click as many photos you want and relax for some time before you proceed for sand surfing (sandboarding). First, follow the instructions of your guide before you climb up and down the sandbanks on your board. As you surf over the sands, you will find this quite funny and unique! Next, stop for a camel ride in the open desert. Later, relax in an air-conditioned tent and enjoy soft drinks and Arabic tea or coffee with dates.
Finally our guide will drop you off at your preferred location or hotel.

Dubai Airport is available from the Holiday Inn Airport hotel. Pickup from Bab Al Shams, Al Maha resort, and Jebel Ali is available for an additional fee.

Important Information
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.
- We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.
- All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box
- OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.
- Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
- Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter
- Pickup will be 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.
- Kindly share your Whatsapp number for an easy communication during the pickup
- Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.
- Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.
- Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.
- Quad Bike: Children below 16 years cannot ride on their own and must be accompanied.
- By participating, you acknowledge and accept that some activities involve inherent risks and unforeseen incidents, and adequate travel and health insurance is strongly recommended for your safety and financial protection. Recommended Age for Self-Driving Activities: Sandboarding: 12-50 years, Quad Biking: 16–50 years. Animal-related activities (company not responsible for uncontrollable natural behaviour of animals): Camel Ride (Recommended age: 12–50 years) Falcon, Horse Riding.
- Helmets & safety gear are highly recommended where applicable, and participation is entirely at your own risk, the company will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, loss, or death from these activities.
- By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity by car. (If this conditions are applicable to you, please contact our Consultant to customize your tour)

I joined this half-day desert safari with a few friends in March 2026 and had a really enjoyable experience. The desert scenery was beautiful, especially in the late afternoon when the light was perfect for photos. The camel ride was short but fun, and the quad bike session added a bit of excitement to the trip. There was enough time to take pictures, relax, and enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed. The refreshments were appreciated after spending time in the desert. It was a fairly popular activity, but everything was organized well. I'd recommend bringing sunglasses and a light scarf, as it can get quite dusty. Overall, a good way to experience the desert if you have limited time in Dubai. Had a great day at the Sand Desert Safari. Our driver/Guide Istikar was a great guy. He was very friendly, made sure we were all happy and comfortable. He took us for a great drive through the desert. Got us all out and took great photos of us. Had alot of fun Desert Driving, he is a great driver. All the activities were awesome.
This was literally amazing, one of the best value tourist experiences I've ever had. Very informative guide who gave us some history and details on the way out to the desert. In an hour on quad bikes in the desert, including: - camel riding - sand boarding - a picture opportunity with a falcon and then dune bashing on the way home in a very comfortable Nissan Patrol. Overall, just an amazing experience.
My driver was Sikander and he did a really excellent job! He was friendly, knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions. It was a really great session, even with the heat! Definitely worth doing

We were in layover at Dubai for 24 hours and wanting to do something while we were here. One of my family recommended to do a Desert Safari experience.
