Tour Options
Itinerary
The tour begins with a walk in the rainforest looking for all kinds of birds, insects, and amphibians. Continuing the walk on the trails, you will come to the Canopy Bridge system section. This system consists of suspension bridges, built to U.S. engineering standards. The six sections total 250 meters, spanning from platforms attached to massive hardwood trees to create the most impressive Canopy Walk in Costa Rica. The design permits minimal forest impact, allowing our participants to explore the majesty of the forest canopy from a bird's eye view. As we continue the walk in the jungle you'll find the beautiful pristine river of the Rainmaker Park. Handrails and easy-to-follow footpaths along with observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture with photographs the rich biodiversity this unique site has to offer. Close to the end of the walk, a pristine waterfall pool will beckon you to enjoy a refreshing dip.

The Rainmaker tour was a terrific experience. Our tour guide Kenneth was very knowledgeable and made the tour incredibly enjoyable. He went above and beyond to point all the wildlife along our path, take group photos, and allowed us as long as we wanted when we were swimming at the waterfalls. I highly recommend this tour and Kenneth as a tour guide when visiting Costa Rica.
Amazing experience. Learned some much from Edgar, we had a lot of fun at the night tour and seeing all the cool animals / insects. Thank you for the great time! - from California
This hike and adventure was a pleasant surprise! We decided on our way to SJO to stop by and check it out, and it ended up being a highlight of our trip! This is definitely not an easy stroll, so plan accordingly due to some steep climbs, descents. We did find the cost of entry a little steep, but did get the experience of walking bridges and some swimming holes. The rain started half way through for us, so we ended up walking back in the rain and got soaked, but it made it a fun experience and memory. You cannot swim in the swimming holes or river during rain, and that was emphasized at the entry. We had luggage in our car which made me very nervous, but it felt safe and private and when we asked the woman at entry, she reassured us the car would be fine. And it was :)
Great trip! Eliot and Kenneth amazing dynamic duo! They made sure that we saw every possible animal, insect, bird etc!
Amazing experience! Elliot was so knowledgeable and made a huge effort to show us every plant and animal possible! Thanks to Kenneth too!
As a couple, we were incredibly lucky to have Javier as our guide for the Costa Rica Rainmaker Tour. His knowledge of the rainforest was absolutely amazing—he knew so much about the animals, plants, and ecosystem, and he prepared us for every part of the experience. He was patient, engaging, and made the entire tour both educational and fun. What made it especially romantic was that it was just the two of us, allowing for a very personal and intimate experience. Javier wasn’t just a guide—he was a true naturalist who knew how to spark our curiosity. He constantly challenged us with thoughtful questions and encouraged us to think about the environment in new ways. It made the tour so much more interactive and memorable. Honestly, doing this tour without a guide would be a huge mistake. You need someone with Javier’s expertise to truly appreciate everything around you. Thanks to him, we saw and learned things we would have completely missed on our own. One of the highlights was spotting a rare fork-tailed bird—something Javier had never seen there before either! Sharing that exciting moment together made the experience even more special. This tour was absolutely unforgettable, and we truly appreciate Javier for making it such an incredible adventure. If you book Jade Tours, ask for Javier—you won’t regret it!
I found the route challenging and our guide Enderson was extremely encouraging with his words and to lend a hand. The pool was refreshing after the bridges.
Enderson was our guide. He knows a lot about the local fauna and flora and was very kind at all times. The route in the Rainmaker Reserve is very beautiful but short, and we hardly saw any animals. The experience is worth it, but it is too expensive for what it offers.
Kenneth was fantastic. We had an amazing trip and learned so much. This was a phenomenal tour that’s different from the other ones getting recommended. This one was personal, engaging and more organic. We saw so many amazing plants and animals!
Javier was really great and knowledgeable very friendly and answered all of our questions and showed us so many great things and allowed us to take ourtime and go swimming and it was very enjoyable overall!
