Queer and Gay Culture of Mexico City

Description
Queer and gay culture has left a profound mark on every stage of Mexico City’s history. In this tour we will rescue those voices, spaces and memories that time tried to erase, but that continue to beat in its streets. I am Edgar, a certified local guide and proud member of the LGBTI community, and I invite you to live a safe, respectful and free experience, where you can express yourself authentically as we discover together the cultural, political and artistic evolution of our community. We’ll explore landmarks that tell stories of resistance, celebration and transformation, understanding how diversity has been key in building the city’s creative and vibrant spirit. This tour is a first approach to the vast cultural, historical and entertainment offering that Mexico City offers to the LGBTI community: a journey of memory, identity and pride.

Our tour guide Edgar was informative of the place we visited. They were prompt, friendly, and knew of very good local food stops along the way.
I had one of the most amazing experiences while taking this incredible Mexico City tour. Thanks 4 all!
Exploring the city with Edgar felt like walking around with a friend. He was so knowledgeable and kind. I also appreciated that he was able to tell me when things were verified vs conjecture.
