Your adventure begins with a scenic cruise across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Whakatipu, aboard either the iconic vintage TSS Earnslaw or the sleek Spirit of Queenstown. Once you arrive over at the working high country station, partake in a wander around the grounds to meet and greet all the animals that call the farm home. Our guides will give fun and informative commentary, and you'll be delighted by a farm show detailing life for the working dogs. Indulge in a decadently classic country morning/afternoon tea with homemade scones and tea. Use your time to your leisure to wander the gardens and re-visit your new animal friends. Please be sure to arrive 20 minutes before your departure time to check in.

Travel across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm and return.
Arrive at Walter Peak High Country Farm! Once ashore, you'll be warmly welcomed by your friendly rural host for a guided farm tour like no other. Meet and mingle with adorable farm animals—from sheep and alpacas to cattle and working farm dogs—then watch live demonstrations that bring New Zealand’s farming traditions to life. Top it all off with a delicious, freshly baked afternoon tea, served in the serene surroundings of the farm.

It's a unique experience a beautiful scenic boat trip and a delightful experience at the farm , one of my favourite highlights
A wonderful fully immersive experience Make sure you rug up!! The boat trip was fantastic and the entire farm experience was just so geared to families All staff were very well trained Afternoon tea was really well catered for We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day
The weather was a real let down, don’t go in the rain. The afternoon tea wasn’t really children friendly. Beautiful place though.
Our family enjoyed this tour which is perfect for families with young children. Very enjoyable.
It was overpriced for what was offered. We only saw 2–3 animals, yet the admission fee was quite high. It definitely wasn’t worth the price, and I left feeling disappointed with the overall experience.
Fantastic experience. Took our two kids who absolutely loved all the animals. I would recommend it to people even travelling without kids too. The guide was really lovely and super entertaining and the food was excellent quality too.
A very cool experience! The boat ride was scenic and informative, and we could choose whether we wanted to sit inside or on the observation deck on top. Once we arrived we got a tour of the farm in a group of around 20-30 people where we could feed the animals including cows, sheep, alpacas, deer, donkeys, and goats. Our tour guide was Nell who did an excellent job telling us about the animals and showing us around the farm. After the tour we got some food and checked out the gift shop, and then there was the farm show. We got to watch a demonstration on sheep shearing and a very talented dog herding sheep. After that we got some time to walk around by ourselves before heading back to the boat and back to queenstown. We left queenstown at 1pm and was back around 4pm. I would recommend this for everyone who wants to see more of queenstown outside of the town and mountains :)
Lovely modern cruise, not as charming as TSS Earnslaw but comfortable and fast. The farm tour was great, so many cute animals to pat, lovely place to walk around and take photos! Afternoon tea was surprisingly good, can't get enough of the deserts! Absolutely recommend!
It was amazing experience, kids loved the farm tour, food was great. The service was also fantastic.
The time on the water was quite beautiful. The animals were sweet and friendly - it was fun to feed and pet them. The tea and snacks were nice, and the gift shop had quality items. Boat crew and farm host were excellent.
