Shotover River Extreme Jet Boat Ride in Queenstown

When booking through third party like viator, read fine print and make sure you cancel within 24hrs. Even if 5 or 10 mins late it's unlikely you'll get a refund even with good reason. Having said that, the crew of the actual adventure were great when trying to cancel and were very nice people. We will try again at another time and book direct with the operator.

Hi, we had this booked and ready and it started to slightly drizzle and immediately got cancelled and had to rebook and then again showed up and got canceled again from little to no rain so definitely recommend booking when weather is good or else you’ll be left like us and can’t go 😢😢

Absolutely fabulous, our driver Ryan was also incredibly friendly and we felt so safe. Was so fun and I was so nervous beforehand but was made to feel at ease and really enjoyed it. Our daughter aged 11 is still talking about it just fabulous. The blonde Australian girl though when we checked in inside needs some serious customer service training and was so rude and sour, for someone working in a tourist experience and for customers paying so ku ch she shouldn’t be the face of the company.

Turned up and got on with only an hour wait I would recommend booking in advance as others were turned away due to how busy they were. One of the best experiences of my life, drivers are amazing as were all staff

Awesome experience for our whole family. Staff were great and made sure we had fun and we all felt safe during the experience. We booked our tickets through Planit app ahead of time which was easy to use and provided us with all the info we needed prior to our booking! Make sure you wear plenty of layers if going in the winter! Ski goggles and a rain jacket help too

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Shotover Jet, and a huge part of that was thanks to Nicole. When there were some changes that meant we had to move to a different departure time, Nicole was incredibly patient, understanding, and considerate throughout the whole process. We kept changing our minds, and she never once made us feel like we were being difficult. She was calm, accommodating, and genuinely wanted to make sure everything worked out for us. What really stood out was that we hadn’t organised transport back to our hotel after the experience. Nicole remembered this, came to check on us, and made sure we got onto a shuttle. She truly went above and beyond, and we were so grateful for her kindness and support. The Shotover Jet itself was an unforgettable experience. The entire team made us feel safe, well looked after, and confident from the moment we arrived. The ride was absolutely thrilling and exceeded all our expectations. Shot over is well worth the time. The area is beautiful, the tour is as well run as any you might find anywhere. “Jet boat Joe” , our driver was excellent and informative.
