Queen Victoria Market Ultimate Foodie Tour

Description
A delicious and fascinating guided walking tour of the iconic Queen Victoria Market. Taste the freshest produce, discover unique ingredients, learn tips and tricks for shopping and cooking, discover the Market's history and meet some of our beloved traders. A two-hour guided walking tour includes generous tastings and a Market tote bag. Tastings are dependent on what is fresh on the day but usually include fresh seafood, grilled peppered kangaroo, a selection of local cheese, fresh dips, seasonal gelati and more. This small-group tour is limited to 10 food-lovers per guide. Please note that, as this is a foodie tour, we are unable to cater to individual dietary requirements. In line with the Market's sustainability policy, we do not provide bottled water. Rather, we encourage guests to bring their own bottle and refill at our water refill stations located around the Market.

Thank you Mercelez for introducing me and my daughter to the QVM. You combined your excellent knowledge of and passion for the markets in a way that felt welcoming and authentic.
It’s wonderful to visit a market that’s full of variety. Our guide was awesome and knowledgeable. What a blast!!
Hi Jean, Thank you so much for your review. We're so happy you enjoyed the Market! Hope to see you again one day! Cheers, Bettina
Rare opportunity to meet the fabulous providers, then gain inside knowledge of their produce and the crown of the experience is then try the food. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and inclusive. Providing good back ground of the history and operations of the market.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to send us your great review. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the Foodie Tour AND the food! We hope to see you back at the Queen Vic Market some time soon! Cheers, Bettina
Mandy was a great host with fantastic insights to the market. We would have not had a clue where to go or what yo do with so many vendors. It was quite overwhelming. She introduced us to some very interesting stops and we loved the variety. I just wish there were more tastings as there are on other cities Trip Advisor recommendations. The price was unreasonable for the experience. NO reflection on our host as she was super fun and amazing. We have done food tours in different cities from Trip Advisor that we would definitely do again. This is not one of them as it is poor value.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m very pleased to hear that you enjoyed Mandy’s hosting and that she was able to help you navigate the Market and discover some interesting traders — I will be sure to pass your kind comments on to her. I’m sorry to hear that you felt the tour was poor value and that you would have preferred more tastings. Our tours are designed to provide a balance of tastings, trader interactions, stories, and market insights rather than being purely a food sampling tour. We work closely with our traders and tour guides and ensure they are paid fairly and generously for their time and the tastings they provide. Because of this, the tours themselves do not operate at a profit, but are part of our broader program to support traders and help visitors experience the Market in a meaningful way. We do genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to review and improve the experience we offer. Thank you again for joining the tour and for your thoughtful comments. Kind regards, Bettina
Excellent and informative tour that makes you appreciate the traders and their passion for good quality service and produce.
Hello, Thank you so much for your kind review. We're happy to hear you enjoyed the tour and meeting our wonderful traders. We hope to see you back some time. Cheers, Bettina
Carmel was an excellent and gracious guide. The food samples were delicious - fruit, oysters, cheese, bread, gelato. The reusable shopping bag is very nice. I recommend this tour; plan a few hours after to explore the market on your own, if possible.
I loved my foodie tour with Carmel. She was warm and friendly, and full of revelations. The vendors also were great, including those at the Chicken Pantry, The Epicurean, Curds and Whey, Benny's Fruit Corner and Geloso Gelataria. A great way to spend a Saturday morning – or any morning.
Hi Paul, Thank you so much for taking the time to send us a wonderful review and well done on remembering the names of the stalls you visited! We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your tour. Warm regards, Bettina
Every time we come to Melbourne we rent an apartment near the market. It is for us European, one of the most beautiful and interesting in Australia.
Excellent tour with an experienced and super knowledgeable guide. We learnt so much about the history of the Queen Victoria Market, how it’s run in the present day and what the best food options are. The tastings delicious and generous which included oysters, kangaroo meat, cheeses, fruits and ice cream. Would recommend to all.
Thank you so much for your great review. We are very happy that you enjoyed the tour and all the tastings! We hope to see you again some time!
This was terrific! Amanda gave us a complete tour of the food hall, and customized the tour to just us. We had several food samples, including mango and macademia nuts and cheeses and some meat. We had a great time.
Thank you so much for your great review. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the tour with Amanda and that you loved the food. Hope to see you again sometime soon!
