Fun and worth every dollar!

Peter the driver was amazing. He was passionate and had very good knowledge of not only Melbourne but Australia in general. He brought us kangaroo and koala spotting which was really fun.

Book this trip and ask for Marty! Incredible experience!

Absolutely the best way to see so many sites if you have limited time. Our tour guide and driver Marty was FANTASTIC and managed our group so well - keeping us on time to maximize the day. His stories, humor, and informed recommendations made the tour so personalized. I'll likely do this tour again and again with visitors thanks to this breathtaking experience. Thank you!!!!

Amazing trip! Amazing tour guide!

The experience was amazing and our tour guide, Peter, added a lot of entertaining information with humor throughout out the trip. He is highly respectful and treated us as his own guests. The bus was clean and comfortable. The trip timing was good and we were given sufficient time at each spot to enjoy and take photos. I was worried at the beginning of the tour that we were not going to see everything on the plan because it was raining when we reached our first spot, but Peter, being an expert, assured us that we were going to be amazed by the changes in weather and he was right! Most of the outdoor activities were during a beautiful sunlight. My only issue was with the pickup location that it was extremely cold for a walk before dawn. It wasn’t far though, just a 10 -minute walk from our stay, which could have been convenient on a warmer day.

The Ocean Road backwards!!

Doing the Reverse Itinerary was clutch. We were up early. Pick up was just before 7 a.m. The pickup location was clearly laid out, and it was a small group. We drove out to the far end of the Great Ocean Road and made our way back to Melbourne. We went on April 9th. Our driver (I'm sorry, it's been a while. I think his name was Peter) was great and very interesting. We stayed ahead of the tour buses and so the stops were not overrun with tourists. The scenery is spectacular. Our driver gave us so much information and told so many stories. He took us to a couple of special places where we were the only ones there, and we saw koalas in the wild as well as kangaroos jumping through a golf course! In Florida it's alligators. In Canada it's deer, and Australia ... kangaroos. I totally recommend this tour if you want to see the area and not with a million other people.

Great Experience!

This was a tremendous opportunity to see parts of Australia that would have been more challenging (and less interesting) to explore on our own. As advertised, the "Reverse Itinerary" was a good strategy to avoid crowds. Pete was our guide. He was equal parts informative and entertaining – valuable traits for a tour of nearly 12 hours. As a lifelong Melbourne resident, Pete's pride, enthusiasm, and experience were inspiring. He's a wonderful representative of Hit the Road Tours, Melbourne, and Australia!

Absolutely fabulous day....

Absolutely fabulous day. Our guide Marty was fantastic, very knowledgeable. Amazing variety along the coast, from the geography to the weather, and get to see kangaroos and koalas in the wild as well. Can’t wait to return.
