We had a fantastic day with Mariana. We saw everything we wanted to plus some key places she suggested. Well worth the trip, and spending the day with a great guide makes it more than worthwhile!
Thank you so much Reed! I love sharing my favorite places with all my guest to make this experience an unforgettable visit!
Mariana is a wonderful tour guide. She gave us a great taste of Mexico City, and went above and beyond to introduce us to this amazing place. We were with her for five days, doing different tours each day. She was knowledgeable, patient and pointed out best parts of each place, including hidden gems, like shops, food, and much more. Thank you, Mari, for the amazing time!
Thank you so much for your words! I love sharing my city with all my guest. Hope to see you next time!
Perfect day tour from Mexico City, led by superb guide Scarlette and driver Alfonso. Compelling combo of scenic mountain drive, really fascinating Great Pyramid, and insightful contrasts between Cholula and Puebla. Scarlette provided just the right mix of information, conversation, and organization. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your beautiful words! Scarlette is joining our team and we are super happy to have her, she is a gem! Hope to see you next time!
Marianna was our personal tour guide on the trip to Puebla and Cholula. We had a fantastic experience on this private tour from beginning to end. Marianna picked us up from our hotel promptly, ensured we were comfortable throughout the drive to Cholula. She kept the conversation lively and engaging, getting to know us, sharing about herself and getting us familiar with the pre-Hispanic history. At Cholula we had a fantastic time learning about the largest pyramid, the story of how Cholula was conquered, visiting the church and spending time browsing and shopping in the local market. At Puebla, Marianna took us a nice restaurant and had us sample special moles, following which we spent a good 1.5 h walking around the beautiful town, sampling liquor, visiting the prominent churches, learning about the local pottery and so much more. Marianna is more than a local guide. While she clearly knows her history and archeology, her guided tour was more than just a tour- we got to experience things very differently than if we had tried to visit these places on our own. We ended the tour feeling like we had just spent the whole day with a good friend. Wish we had planned ahead to use Tekpan tours to visit Xochimilco/Coyoacan. Highly recommend this company and if you can travel with Marianna, you are assured to have a great time!
Thank you so much for all your beautiful words :) I'm very happy to hear back from you and know you enjoyed the day the same way I did! It's always my pleasure to share all about our history but getting to know you makes it very special in every visit I share.
We had such an enjoyable tour with Frank — he was informative about churches and pointed out many details we would have missed without his insight. His information about Cholula was historically insightful and acurate and gave us a true appreication of the hundreds and hundreds of years of history literally below our feet. He was also kind and helpful. And introduced us to dynamite pastor in Puebla. A truly wonderful trip - thank you!
Thank you for choosing Tekpan Tours as your guides in Puebla! It's a pleasure for us to share the magic and history of one of the most beautiful and emblematic places in Mexico!
This journey through Puebla and Cholula was the highlight of my trip. We had plenty of time to explore each location, and our guide made the history come alive. The traditional Mexican lunch was delicious, and the churches in Puebla are simply beautiful. A must-do for history and culture lovers!

A fascinating day trip to Puebla & Cholula. Mariana was an excellent guide, very informative and passionate about the culture. She also made the drive interesting by talking about the scenery etc. Mariana always gave us options as to how we wanted to focus our day. Fabulous restaurant for lunch!
Oh! Dear, Thank you!! It was a wonderful day you’re so kind and nice and I enjoyed the tour as you. :) Sincerely Mariana
Gerardo was a great guide, and we loved how knowledgeable and flexible (we had a private tour) he was - our driver Rodolfo was also great. Definitely recommend.
Its a pleasure for us to share all this amazing experiences with you! We are happy to know you had an amazing experience with Gera!
We booked this tour through Tripadvisor (one note we could only book for 3 people or more, but there was only 2 of us). Company contacted us the day before with details. Our driver Francisco (Frank) was wonderful! Could not fault him. From his brilliant driving, showing us all the best sites, giving lots of information on the various areas and was very insightful. He let us spend however long, or short, we wanted in places. Also got a chance to wander around some of the local markets which was lovely. We also went to a place he recommended for lunch and it was the best food we had in Mexico! Puebla and Cholula are both beautiful, with lots of history and things to see. Definitely worth taking a visit from Mexico City, if you have the time. Francisco really made this tour for us. This was one of our favourite days during our trip. We would definitely recommend it and think it is well worth it!
Puebla is one of those magical and historical cities worth to visit, thank you so much for choosing us as your guides during your visit!
Gerardo was our guide for the day. We first went to Cholula to visit the Santuario de la Virgen de los Remedios, a magnificent place with breathtaking views of the mountains, volcano, and the cities of Puebla and Cholula. Then, we saw the exterior of the Cholula pyramid (no need to enter the site itself as it's visible from the outside). We strolled through the city and visited the Templo de Santa Maria Tonantzintla, an incredible and meaningful place. Gerardo has extensive knowledge and draws our attention to specific details. Later, we explored the city of Puebla. We had lunch at a highly recommended restaurant by Gerardo and continued our city tour (including the Metropolitan Cathedral of Puebla, El Parian market, and Zocalo). Gerardo is passionate, answering all your questions and adding significant depth to your visits. We're happy to have met you, Gerardo!
