I’m Edo. I personally designed this experience, and I’ll be the one hosting you. I’m not a large tour operator, but a local who lives food and wine every day. Discover a different side of Barolo on a private wine tour through hidden wineries and quiet villages of the Langhe. This experience is designed for travelers who want more than a standard tasting: you’ll visit small, family-run wineries, meet the people behind the bottles, and taste Barolo and other local wines in an unhurried, personal setting. Between vineyards and hilltop villages, you’ll experience the Langhe at a slower pace, away from the crowds, with time to enjoy the landscape, the stories, and the character that make this region truly unique.

The heart of one of Italy’s most iconic wines, Barolo is a small hilltop village surrounded by some of the world’s most prestigious vineyards. Here, winemaking is deeply tied to tradition, family heritage, and a strong sense of place.
A quieter and more authentic village overlooking the Langhe hills, Diano d’Alba is known for its panoramic views and small-scale wine production. It offers a slower rhythm and a genuine glimpse into everyday life in the Langhe.
One of the most scenic villages in the Langhe, Monforte d’Alba is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, historic center, and long-standing winemaking tradition. It’s a place where great wines and breathtaking views naturally come together.

While it is a rather long drive from Milan, the personal touch and the overall experience is worth every moment. Edo is truly a foodie and wine enthusiast and his choices of wineries and food resembles his passion. When he says that it it boutique wineries, don’t be fooled by the size. The quality of the wine was outstanding and only topped by the personal touch afforded us by the proprietors of the wineries. Not minutes, in one case hours, of a deep dive into the “cradle to grave” process of wine making starting in the vineyard itself and concluding with a broad discussion over a wine tasting featuring a “wine flight” of the proprietor’s handy work. We took a little bit of a flyer with Edo, based on the limited reviews at the time, and we ultimately felt we hit a home run.
