You will be picked up at the hotel lobby in the morning and drive to Jinshanling Wall which takes 2 hours. Once arrival, you will climb to the top and hike from west side to the east side of Jinshanling section. The hike is about 5-6 KM and takes about 3 hours. You have to be really physically in good conditions. During the hiking, you will come across many watch towers and barrier towers and see the difference between the renovated section and wild section. Also, you can see the Simatai Great Wall section from distance. Start the walk from East five eye tower then go up to the ruined towers. The difficulty of the hike is moderate. Along the way, you will pass through several famous towers: Black Tower, Lesser Jinshan Tower, Big Jinshan Tower.

I used the transfer service for the wall and the experience was simply excellent. Safe, cautious, and punctual driving. The car was new, fragrant, and clean. The driver was extremely courteous, offering us cold water along the way.
This was actually my third time using CL tours for their help in organizing a day trip. First two were to the standard tourist-heavy sections of the Great Wall while visiting Beijing. This time I took CL’s advice and visited the Jinshanling section and was extremely happy I did! Jinshanling is much more beautiful than the heavily trafficked Mutianyu or Badaling sections. Rolling hills, taller towers, much fewer tourists. There were probably only about 100 total people on the wall with us from 9-12am on a Wednesday, and that was spread across several miles. Booking was easy, fast response and organized on the afternoon before we want to visit via m WhatsApp/Wechat. Our driver (David L.) arrived at the hotel 10 minutes early for 6am pickup. Car was extremely comfortable hybrid shuttle with middle seats that laid near flat for naps lol. David was very polite and quite knowledgeable about the area — gave us good advise for our goals in visiting the wall + other things we could check out after. About 2.5-3hr ride from Wangfujing area of Beijing each way and a great experience! Admission fee was included in the total amount for the shuttle and David got us the ticket sense arrived but really the drive to the wall was what we needed help with the most and that was awesome all around. Highly suggest both this section of the wall and CL to help with the organizing if you ivalue convenience, comfort and reliability.

This turned out to be an excellent choice. Tour company sent a luxury car which made the long journey easier. Although we had to use google translate to communicate with the driver, everything was well planned. Driver showed up at the hotel ahead of scheduled time. On the way back we ended up coming out from a diffrent exit of the great wall and driver happily picked us up from that spot. Overall very enjoyable trip. I would recommend this tour company. Note that this tour does not include a guide but you dont need one.

Great experience - relaxed journey from Beijing to the Shinjanling Great Wall area in a clean, comfortable vehicle. Our driver, Chen, made sure that we had everything we needed. The Great Wall section here is incredible, with incredible views and no crowds.

Great trip to a more remote part of the great wall. Our guide James was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the great wall. Nice local food included. Highly recommended.
Our service up to the Jinshanling section of the Chinese Wall was excellent! The car was comfortable, with nice temperature and was very clean. Lu was very punctual and attentive. He advised us on the alternatives to climb up the wall and arranged to pay for the cable car tickets (which we then paid to him practically through AliPay). From Beijing to the Wall it was two and a half hours. For 4 people was charged the value of 1000 Yuans I recommend!
We had an amazing day on the Great Wall in Jinshaling with Henry! Pickup was timely and the 2.5 hr transport was so comfortable I fell asleep both ways. Time spent on the wall was glorious and challenging, definitely need to be able to do steep inclines vertically. Henry was very knowledgeable, humorous, and spirited. Plus the food after the hike was so yummy! I highly recommend a tour with Henry and this tour company.
