Private Tour: Tower of London with Private Guide

Elizabeth was a wonderful guide and had so many interesting facts to add that we would have never learned. She was warm, friendly and fun to be around as well! We learned so much, but my teens were engaged too!

The expertise our tour guide Ruth had was unbelievable! She was so welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her. Ruth catered to the asks we had within our tours. She was able to then hone in moving forward on what we wanted, but still give us a well rounded knowledge base throughout the history of the Royals. Private tour guides is money well spent and we will continue to go this route in every trip we take.

We had an excellent and fun tour of the Tower of London with Chris, a knowledgeable and nice guy with a passion for the city. When I come back next year, I will request Chris again! Gio, the operator, was incredibly great to work with - very communicative, proactive and detail oriented. I will 100% use Private London Tours again!

Our tour guide Aaron was a wealth of knowledge and ensured we saw all we needed to see. He had a great way to tell the history and he sure knew what he was talking about. It was impressive to see the layout and buildings and how well it has been preserved. How people would enter the fortified area on boat was easy to picture once explained. Very cool for sure.

We had the most amazing time at the Tower of London. Our guide, Dani, was absolutely lovely and so informative. She was engaging, and told fascinating stories. We had a truly wonderful time and hope to book another tour with this amazing company when we come back next year.

A great tour! Private London Tours was able to put together a tour that worked for us. Started with a pickup at the Sofitel Hotel in Heathrow, then a tour of Windsor Castle, lunch, transport to London, a driveby tour of sites in London and then a tour of the crown jewels and London Tower. Charlotte was excellent and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. At the end of the day she walked us to the train station with directions on taking the train back to Heathrow and our hotel. Communication was great regarding where to meet, etc. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We had an afternoon private tour of the Tower of London with Monica. She is amazing and SO knowledgeable. We learned a lot and saw all the highlights in a short period of time (Crown Jewels, the Ravens, and Beefeaters to name a few). We had just arrived from the States and this was a perfect start to our holiday. We loved it! If you want to visit the Tower of London, we think a tour is a must so that you get the background on and information about what you are looking at. It really makes it so much more fulfilling and interesting. We would highly recommend Monica and Private London Tours.

We had Aaron for our tour guide. Wow, he was amazing. He gave us the most memorable tour of the Tower! Super knowledgeable and friendly and even had a doctorate degree which is super impressive. We had kids with us and he customized the tour to keep them interested, including our 9 year old daughter who said “this was the best tour she has ever been on!” We saw the Crown Jewels, the towers, walked the wall and even went into the White Tower to see armor and other historical artifacts. We even had a chance to watch some Beefeaters and Guards walk around. What was amazing was that it’s still a living, breathing area where the Warders still live and there are other residents that live there even when all other tourists are gone. I definitely recommend this tour and try to get Aaron! You I will learn so much more about the Tower of London with a tour guide like him rather than an audio guide. Thank you Aaron!!!!!

Gavin was our favorite guide during our holiday! He knew exactly when to be in the right places. We were able to view the Crown Jewels with NO wait! His stories were animated, even to the point of ruining some childhood nursery rhymes! (lol) Gavin even made us lunch reservations at a great dive, which was the perfect way to end the morning.

This company was absolutely wonderful to book with, our guide Paul was excellent and we lucked out and we had him the second day when we did Westminster Abbey. He knows just about everything about these historical places in London. If we go back again we will definitely get in touch with Gio, He was instrumental in helping us arrange for a hassle free trip.
